To pile on, I forgot about this and made this mistake once. Finding that I couldn't take that left because the Rock Creek Parkway was one-way outbound during that time, I ended up having to loop around to Virginia Avenue/Constitution Avenue as a result. If you're looking for some way to kill 30-45 extra minutes, there it is.

Memorial Bridge might work. I've never tried it in reverse at rush hour. I can tell you, though, that Independence Avenue eastbound, through the connector down towards Maine Avenue (and the SE/SW Freeway), gets pretty packed at rush hour with folks heading for the *Virginia-bound* 14th Street Bridge. Once you're clear of those ramps for 395, you're OK, but before that . . .

If you can take the BW Parkway/DC-295/Kenilworth from the north, or I-295/DC-295 from the south, it really is your best bet.

That was my first thought as well, but there's almost TOO many ways you can take that. It's really hard to decide how to play that one.

wow, no thanks - I believe it would be faster to sit on the 14th St bridge doing less than 1mph than go that way :)

Isn't there a way, coming up 110 from 66, if I take the Pentagon City exit off the I-395 ramp to turn right (army/Navy Dr. maybe) and get on the HOV lanes?

Alright! We got a 60% chance of rain for tomorrow!!! That means the traffic is going to be even more fun. Don't forget to bring your plastic baggies.

Hey guys, during halftime on Thursday, DON'T leave the sections!! One of our very own members, Dan, is in the US Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon. Well, during halftime tomorrow, the Silent Drill Platoon and the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps will be performing, and Dan will be announced as the Sergeant in Arms AND a member of La Barra Brava.

He is really excited about this and wanted me to spread the word to stick inside so his Barra brothers and sisters could see him in action.

Additionally, I'll be bringing by a newb who's in the President's Own Marine Band. She's really excited to catch the Barra in action!

Weather Underground forecast is now 70% chance of T-storms most of tomorrow.

Might do in the halftime show if indeed the storms come. Bummer. I love watching the USMC Silent Drill Team--now with one of Barra's own.

    Capt: Bring the life vests.
Other Barra guys: Any flotation gear you have.
Barra Ladies: See Thystle's post above.

    Rain: OK
    Lightning: Not so much

I can't be at RFK until closer to kickoff than to gate opening. Suggest everyone plan for the old-fashioned BYO tailgate.

It needs to rain like hell around 5:30 so my outdoor band concert will be canceled and I can come to the game. Then it can clear up. :D
