Good game, but we still need to finish those clear chances in front of the goal. Ade is making good moves so far in his short time of play. I wanna see more of him now rather than waste a season. I though Hainault did pretty good. I thought offensive subs and the one defensive was well played by Dom.

Game shoulda been like 3-0 or 4-0 by HT.

    Ching was off... very...

The goal was sick, though. Holden's cross was money.

FC DallASS though... wow... suckage supreme. 1st and ONLY shot on goal in stoppage time... of the SECOND HALF. :D

HD didn't need much. FCD is terrible.

3 pts. more in da bag.:)

Strong D and massive possession (the Dynamo signature) is once again very effective, even without tons of goals.

Mullan: Yet another awesome run inside, leads to yet another wide open shot by a forward that isn't taken. But keep it up, someone will let you have the assist one of these days!

Andrew: Amazing job filling in for Wade. Big, strong, and fast. Making good decisions, well beyond your age.

Dax: You scare the hell out of me. Thank god you were only out there for a little while.

Good job from everyone else, no bad performances on the pitch tonight from anyone in orange (or whatever color Pat was wearing either)

3 more points in the bag. Good times were had by all. What more can I say?

I had a good time, a fun game, wish we coulda scored in the first half, and we did have our chances. I love Kei but I don't think he was playing very well tonight, Ching missed some clear chances but that happens. I love defense, I love to watch us snuff out chances, it's almost as much fun as the goals. And hey the goal was fun, wasn't it?
I don't think the ref really sucked this time, and I don't think I saw anything for fans from either side to complain about. I'm sure they'll say the Batallón sucked cause their giant flag got tangled once. Other than that, not much for either side to talk about, except we got the win. :D And I thought it was sort of ironic that the Inferno is always talking about how Houston smells, then they bring a smoke bomb that stinks up the stadium almost as bad as their team did.
I'm tired and am going to bed. And I'll sleep well tonight. :D:cool:

In our defense, the telon got all screwed where we were having civs unfurling it.

Yea, I wasn't complaining, it's just at the time I was thinking that was the sort of thing the Inferno would bring up, ignoring the fact that at least EB has enough people to actually unfurl such a thing. :D

Also, at first I was thinking it wasn't opening cause some of the guys might have been trying to see the end of the game. Haha. then I realized what had happened. By the way, one of my favorite parts of the game was when yall moved side to side, sort of a sideways avalanche, don't know what you call it but it looked cool. Hope they caught that on ESPN....

Also, when I said I didn't think Kei was playing well, I forgot to mention he did score the goal. I was really tired after the game and think I was rambling. It also seems strange that after a win against Dallas there is still only one page of comments in the post-game thread.

    Yes..agreed !
Corey came in late and he sure put some excitement on the wing side and did you see how high KK jump on scoring the goal..He beat the defender completely..watch the replay !!
While the Dallas fan was walking back to their buses, the cop has to escort them back - actually walking with them ..right when they pass the parking lot, Our TA fans kind of yelling at them - Dallas Suck !! oh..you should see their faces..their sad ass face..
In a way, I was kind of impress - they chartered 2 busses !!
I would love to see our Dynamo fans have at least a minimum of 5 buses going up to Fresno..:D

Hey, where've you been? We've had at least 2 busses for almost all our games to Frisco, we've had as many as 4 I think. Once I think there might have been just one, but I think that was a week night.
But I agree, 5 would be great. Also, there are always a lot of people that drive up there.

It was great to go to Houston to watch the game... the people in the Houston organization treated us fairly, and the fans.... well, let's say there was a lot of references to mother's day and the likes :D Good times.

It sucks we lost, but thats just the game.

By my understanding, one of the buses was paid for by the Dallas FO and was completely free for STH in the Inferno. The other was heavily subsidized by someone so that it was practically free...all riders had to do was pay for their ticket to the game. I'm sure someone will correct me if that info is wrong.

As for the game, complete and utter domination...the midfield was superb and their play was exquisite at times. But we aren't hitting the target enough. Holden and Ching both missed excellent opportunities to work the keeper in the first half. The goal was very nice...I didn't think that Holden would be able to get to Davis' ball before it went out but he not only did, but he put in a perfect left footed cross when he did. And Kei finished very nicely.

But after the goal, we seemed to take our foot off the pedal and that was frustrating. Dallas still wasn't terribly dangerous but they did see more of the ball...and if that Dallas free header 92nd minute is hit anywhere else other than right at Onstad, we might be talking about the point Dallas stole at Robertson. In short, very good performance, but I'd still like to see better finishing and that killer instinct to step on a team's throat when you have them all over the place.

I think that was the best showing by FCD/the Inferno at Robertson, at least since the first game the first year. It's more fun when there is a large group of away supporters (especially when we win :D). But it's strange that so many would come down at a time when the season's going so bad, everybody's down on the team, and the home attendance is so low. The only thing I can think is that maybe the other games had been on Sunday nights or weeknight, I'm not sure without going back and looking, and I'm way too lazy to do that this morning.
It was funny to see them ignore the wave. Even EB did the wave.... :D

Agreed. I wanted to see a couple more goals after the first. FCD has a habit of giving up very late goals, in this case we almost did that for them. But Corey did bring in a lot of late game excitement, that was fun, if not extremely productive.

That's kind of correct. The one that was paid for by the FO was done long before the season started and advertised as an incentive for people to buy season tickets before the season started. The other one was already planned and people had signed up to pay like $50 or something for the bus and some random Inferno member went and paid for the whole thing...a very nice thing to do IMO and not something that should be criticized.

And yeah, if you look back this was the first Saturday night game that Dallas has had in Houston since 2006...It's so tough to get people to go on Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons.

There was some crazy shit that went down after the game...some idiot Houston fan was yelling at some of our group cussing us out and what not from a car driving by after the game. Then the light turned red and he had to stop...it was pretty hilarious what happened after that.

Late Friday night at a bar in Houston:

Art Vandaley: "What time are you getting to the Texian Army tailgate."
Houston_gunner: "I am not sure. I just have make sure I am there
    before Nobius.."
Art Vandaley: "We should camp out at the Rob."
Houston_gunner: "haha awesome, we can get tents and camp in the 3rd
ward. We will call it urban camping."

That is what started the 18 hour tailgate by 4 of us. We thought for sure we would get run off by the cops, stabbed by a hobo, or trampled by drunk UH students. Hobos were too scared of a white guy actually camping in the 3rd ward. Cops were too dumbfounded and too used to seeing us progressively showing up earlier and earlier for games. Drunk students thought they were hallucinating and stayed far away. The only problem were the ants which bit the inside of my lip.

I doesn't get any better than beating Dallas. I loved seeing their 2 bus loads of people (they had to be riding the short bus if that was 2 full buses) deflated at the end of the game. I can't say anything about tactics as I was too busy getting the TA section rowdy. All I know is I turned toward the field and Kamara was flying in the air and got his head on the ball. I am surprised noone died in the Rob as the entire stadium went nuts. Moments like that is why I watch the game and love my Dynamo.

Gonna try to post this again, last one got lost I guess.

Just want to give major props to both Texian Army & El Batallon for all that you brought to the game last night. You made it an over the top exciting game to attend! Newbies sitting behind us were wondering if y'all "worked in shifts". They didn't think there was any way y'all could bring it that hard for the entire game. A guy behind them immediately corrected them & told them how great you are. I always notice that Season ticket holders around us are as proud of you guys as they are of the team.

Strangest thing I saw last night: When the players were walking off the field at the end of the game, a Dallas "fan" jumped over the wall and was angrily screaming at the Dallas team. Not in a good way.

    Such class.

I'm sure the team appreciates the travelling "support." :D

If you can't get enough to read about last night's game, read FCD's 3rd Degree story: http://www.3rddegree.net/2009/05/zip-it-fc-dallas-at-houston-dynamo/

Among the things he talks about is the little flair up that resulted in yellows for Ferreira and Davis, I didn't see what caused it...

Otherwise nobody's complaining about the ref, strange, huh. Actually we haven't had much to complain about all year I don't think. Are the refs getting better? Even Abbey's not so bad this year I don't think. There was one call the ref made last night for Houston that should have been an advantage call, that stopped our momentum, and the he seemed to apologize to the team and make a gesture like "my bad." Other than that, a couple of ? offsides that probably were right, and the head butt, it was a clean game.

And another thing I've been thinking about.... it's really sad that all Dallas fans have to complain about is their own team now. Nobody makes fun of Houston, nobody is calling the Dynamo thugs, no complaints about Robertson... ah, those were the days.

You would too if you had a coach that has won 5 out of his first 25 games and a FO that doesn't seem to care about mediocre results. It's not the players that's the problem, it's HSG. I mean just look at Columbus, who lets the coach that just guided them to the championship leave? It's a shame really.

I have no idea what happened after (obviously) but judging by your post, I have a feeling it had something to do with the ambulances and police cars I saw headed towards that end of the stadium after the game.

I remember a time in 2007 when a tool and his buddies in a BMW of some sort thought it would be a great idea to haul ass through the PHP parking lot (had to be doing upwards of 60) making circles around the TA and EB buses while flicking us off and shouting obscenities. Of course, he didn't have to worry about hitting any other fans because we all know that there weren't and other fans around for him to hit. Shit like that will always happen between the fans whether it's in Frisco or in Houston.
