Yellow for Di Michele. Carragher has a howler. He will be counting his blessings that he wasn't punished. Torres cuts through the defense, and shoots wide. Gerrard continues to send passes through, this time, he almost hits a surging Lucas.

Overall - we should be ahead - but we haven't REMOTELY played well. We look like we have no urgency - are misplacing passes left and right and are generally playing kind of poorly at the back. We are lucky that West Ham are too worried about yelling at the ref than playing smart. I hope we wake up in the second half and turn the screws.
Halftime. Both managers have some things to fix. Zola would be smart to tell his players to keep their heads, as well as keep a tighter defense. Liverpool has had too easy of a time when attacking. Also, if West Ham players don't keep their heads, one of them is going to get sent off. Benitez would be smart to get in the ear of the defense and tell them to stop mucking around. One more goal, and the points will be safe.
I think we haven't really created a full attack yet - it's a bunch of nice passes and then a poor one. Kind of odd after the way we have been playing lately.
Lighten up. We are leading 2-0 and are well on our way to another 3 points. We didn't play great, but we didn't have to after scoring in the first 90 seconds. That was a terrible slip by Carragher. We got lucky that Di Michele botched it. Hopefully we add a couple more in the second half. Torres is due for a goal or two.
well - to be fair i'd like to end this game asap - because while our hopes are faint it will come down to goal difference if we end up tied with the mancs
also - Gerrard's penalty was excellent - as was Green's full stretch save - as was Gerrard AND Kuyt's reaction to the save. If Gerrard wasn't there - Kuyt was ready.
Well our first goal was a full attack. The thing is, West Ham isn't forcing us to make that poor pass, they are just getting lucky that we are hitting it to them or shanking the pass. It's been too easy for us really. If we turn it up a couple of notches. This match should be over by the 60th. Di Michele's dive was hilarious!
Di Michele's dive was almost as bad as Pedersen's. Did he actually think he could get away with that?
For us to have any chance at the title, we would have to win our remaining games and Man United would have to lose twice. Assuming that happens, our goal difference would go up while theirs would go down. Its not going to matter how much we win by.

Kuyt plays very nice cross, and Benayoun looks like he is at too sharp of an angle. He does a nice job to get to it, and just hits it over. That would have been an excellent goal.

Insua's first touch/pass on the ball goes to no one. I just feel a third goal coming. We aren't pushing that hard but we have gotten a couple of half chances.
