Indeed, I would have expected better from that sub in of Prideaux - experience should have helped. sigh . . .

Is it an illusion that the backpasses get slower and more intercept-able as the game goes on? Or is that just how we play? There was also more bunching at the end. Spurts of multiple, very short passes occurred that allowed the sounders to defend.
    We could have done more.
ptht tie. Play like the women! :p

Like Soumare waiting for Ward to take come and take the throw-in when we are in stoppage time, up a man, and a tie score? Or perhaps when Ward and Conde want to dribble around midfield when the clock is running down? We just don't seem to manage the clock well or the pace of play. Since I only saw the second half, I can only comment on what I saw but Blanco's aerial plays were pretty poor--either too hard or too soft. Nothing on anyone's foot with only a couple of exceptions including the assist on Pappa's goal (before someone jumps on that).

Despite the goal their offense was definitely more threatening in the first half. And, like most teams do, they relaxed and patted themselves on the back after the goal. I enjoyed the game. See ya!

Seattle is a very well-coached team. They played very disciplined soccer after the red card and Tyrone capitalized on our right back being out of position. Absolutely no one was on the left side of the goal--all of the men in red were on the right post which left the net wide open. Great touch by Tyrone and I am not sure if Busch could have gotten to it if he had been watching the left post but I think he could have.

I have now come to terms with the fact that Justin Mapp is done with this team, ironically, as soon as he starts to show consistency and the only way Rolfe is going to get on before the 75th minute is if Nyarko is suspended or injured.

Coincidentally, Prideaux is a former Sounder, and I believe he asked to be taken in the expansion draft. Sounders took Stephen King, instead, who made an appearance in this game as a sub, and played well on Tuesday.

What crap! One stupid mistake! Where was the back post guy? I saw Pappa running off into space toward the corner toward the ball kicker. And another Fire player seemed to be covering space. But nobody on the back post?

Ain't that the keeper's job to make sure somebody's on it?

    Crap.

You guys had a problem with the color commentator? I don't understand why? :p Just kidding, if I was a fan of any other team I would have hated this guy. I liked all the fire puns they were using.

Anyway, one heck of a game. The Sounders were lucky to get out of the first half 0-0. I'm looking forward to the July match, hope to see a good number of fire fans then.

I hope you're not saying Brandon didn't give 100% because in his heart of hearts, he really wants to play in Q'Bert green?

We were skating on thin water after the goal, the handwriting was on the wind.

Seattle's goal was their only shot on goal. This sport can be so stupid sometimes.

He's also a a UW grad. I can't quantify the level of his effort. You'd know better than me.

Good game. Once again the fire miss many many chances to score. McBride had a close one....

I blame Ward for letting his guy go unmarked on that corner where they scored.

Oh well... mark up another TIE.
