Not at all, my son (nephew). Since it went off on this tangent, sounds perfectly all right to me.

We just had our Halloween potluck.

I ate kitty litter complete with poopies and dirt with worms.

I also had other stuff like pizza, enchiladas, and lumpias. But those aren't as interesting as kitty litter and dirt.

    :D

I had a ton of sugar so I'm all worked up. I had 6 pieces of candy for breakfast. Woo hoo! I'm wired!

I'm excited for the game tomorrow. I think now is the time the Quakes are gonna come out with some firepower.

I'm also excited for the Looney Tunes NASCAR race on Sunday. I love the Looney Tunes cars!

Okay, I'm rambling on in my sugar induced hyperactive state.

    I will stop now.

Is this some kind of epidemic? We had a couple of those in our office too. Does Martha Stewart know about this?

You had kitty litter with poopies too?!

I'm not sure if Martha Stewart knows or not. But let's not tell her. She annoys the fish outta me along with Rosie O'Donnell.

yes, but i am such a wus when it comes to scary movies.
I saw the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre w/Jessica Biel and it seriously disturbed me. It is probably one of the most gory and scary movies i've seen in a long time. They actually showed a girl comitting suicide  and about half way through the movie i almost threw up

    HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Yeah, I don't like scarey movies either. But the Halloween movies just aren't scarey to me. They kinda crack me up.

    HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I have to be home tonight by 10. Not because of my parents or the fact that I want, but because I have too. Why? Because of SAT's Ahhhhh.

I was watching a re-run of Conan and he was doing some of his famous analogies. My favorite one went like this:

"Nomar Garcia-Parra is to 'I love Mia Hamm' as Lucciano Pavorratti is to 'I-love-a-mi-a-ham'" Hilarious.

My nephews are all dressing up:
Angel(9) is the cliche Scream guy
    Xavier(6) is Yu-Gi-Oh
    Xander(4) is a Dragon Ninja
    Ruben(almost 2) is Mike Wasasoski(sp?) of Monster's Inc.
Issac(5 mths.) who isn't going out but will taking pictures is going to be Sully of Monster's Inc.

Dolores and I took Xavier and Xander to buy there constumes and we looked around for ourselves as well. My sister Ingrid said I should be Marie-Katherine Gallager (SNL) and Dolores and Ricardo should be Spartan Cheerleaders(SNL).

Then I thought of having Dolores and I be Thing 1 and Thing 2 of Cat in the Hat and Ricardo could be the Cat in the Hat. We're going to go get them after school today, even though we don't know what we're going to get. Should be fun. Plus there is a show tomarrow and your supposed to go dressed up so that's what we'll probably do.

Jeez, girl... hope you don't have a cubicle around any Galaxy fans! That would be worse than any horror flick!

OK, off to Geelong... gotta join Jen there so that we can go see her mother in hospital together.

She (my mother-in-law) is recovering quite nicely, all things considered, from her stroke a couple of days ago, but now I get to see her progress with my own eyes.

More details on the dedicated thread in my Personal Forum... and feel free to sign on that thread (as an online "get-well-soon" card). :)

    That's what I was thinking, girl! :D

Anyway, amid the disappointment of yesterday's playoff result -- and believe me, I was sitting around the in-laws' house yesterday after we got back from hospital, wondering what the fish was going on with the game, wanting an update... Jen, her brother and her sister were all looking at me like I was nuts. But I think I still had things in a proper perspective, though.

    Anyhoo, about my mother-in-law's plight...

Got back from Geelong late last night-- and my she's getting better. But we're not happy, and especially with the way that the hospital is treating the matter.

Health-wise, my mother-in-law's making marked improvement. She's looking fantastic, in fact, for someone who's had a major illness, relatively speaking, only five days ago (last Thursday).

However, no one at that hospital knows what the hell is wrong with her in terms of her condition, and is offering up no explanation about her condition nor for any sort of a diagnosis, etc.

First, they say it's a stroke, then they say it isn't.

Then they deny that there's some form of epilepsy or seizures, but they're not willing to rule that out, either.

And when she had a bit of a fever, they would neither confirm nor deny that she would have had a virus.

It's all very confusing to us-- me, my wife, her family, and especiallly her mother. To everyone concerned...

Do me a favour, folks... should I ever get sick in Geelong and cannot get private care, do not let me spend a minute in Geelong Hospital. Barwon Health run the place, and they are absolutely friggin' clueless as to how to deal with patients and their families. Instead, insist that I be airlifted to a hospital here in Ballarat or to Melbourne, stat.

I don't know if this will make you feel any better, but about two months ago, one of the girls who played on the varsity became ill. They took her first to John Muir and then to UC San Francisco. She had an up and down fever and fatigue. The docs at UCSF Med Center took almost a week to finally come up with a diagnosis. They said she has myelofibrosis, which is a cancer of the blood cells, makes the red corpuscles sort of tear-dropped shape. The astounding thing is that this disease hardly ever occurs in any one except men well into their sixties. The girl had just turned 19. The last I heard she was going to be taken to Mayo because this is so rare.
So, in that sense, I'm not surprised that the docs there are slow in figuring out what your mother-in-law has. Anyway, keep MIL in good spirits and thinking positively. Something we are supposed to do, too.

I won't be around the boards for the rest of the week. Until after the next game.

So if you PM me and I don't respond, you know why.

Please make sure you only say nice things about me when I'm gone. Just cuz I'm not here doesn't mean I won't see what you post. :p

    Hehe. Alrighty, peeps....

    Tschüs!

What should we say, though? I mean, guys generally don't gossip, right?

Eh, it's all good, though. :)

Used to work kitty-corner from it, but that's as close as I've been. Anything else beyond that would require telepathy, and I can't do that.

Besides, I'm convinced that based on content alone, "guys gossip" is much different than "chicks gossip", even around the water cooler.

More "industrial" than "inter-personal"? Maybe that's where I get my "gloom & doom"...

Doesn't have to be so gloomy, but that's the general pattern.

Perhaps Jen should chime in here, to lend another female perspective. She and I were just talking about this, and she was so eloquent about it...
