Barra invasion of Jersey

I saw a couple of d bags with shirts that read Western Conference Champions.

 

I saw that sign during halftime. I laughed so hard. Sad. So sad.

 

I actually saw someone with a scarf saying "Western Conference Champions"

Hey, you have to take what you can.

 

At R** B****'s first home game this year they gave out free "Western Conference Champions" scarves to the first 10,000 people who entered the stadium.

Obviously they had some left over for the second and third games too.

 

Yeah. I wrote about it a little in the SE Post Game Nest Liner.

Nothing like a "We're #2!!" banner.

They're almost as lame as the Mystics attendance banners.

 

Telefutura only showed the DC crew for a fraction of a second after the first goal. While everyone at Molly's caught the shirtless wonder, you weren't on long enough for probably anyone else to notice and complain to the station.

 

But at least the Revs actually WON something. The Open Cup should be a bigger deal.

The only thing the Metros have won is championship of a conference they do not even belong too.

 

Well, let's see -- metro also won the MLS preseason tournament once, the Atlantic Cup once and the Cup named after a dog's disease from a preseason tournament in Portugal (La Manga is from Portugal, I believe).

And speaking of which, has anybody else noticed how ostentatious the screw's MLS Cup win is displayed on their jersey? It's an oval with an image of the new cup design, which is as long as their team logo and nearly as wide! Nouveau Riche in the midwest??

I noticed the cup on their kit last week. I about died laughing.

 

Well, you have to figure, that emblem is the closest they'll ever get to filling up as much space as our boys' four stars...

 

Try to see it from their point of view: it beats the heck out of "PARTICIPANT," which is all they've had up to this point.

 

This is exactly what I was thinking of when I saw it.

 

Redbulls beat SJ last night so they get to face us in the next round of Open Cup.

 

LOL that was a stupid banner, i saw it on TV..its all they have to be proud about..LOL. Speaking of banners...what happened to ours. I heard a Metro fan stole one of ours. Is that true?

Oh, i thought it was a Barra Flag at first. Makes sense it would be a SE flag. No offense SE.

 

It was a flag owned by a United supporter. Made with his own money. Who is actually a Barra and an SE.

 

Not to point fingers but it sounds like the fans at that game let that guy down who made it. But really in the end its all part of the game and culture.

Just have to try and snag one of theirs next time thats all.
