OT | Barra Fishing Trip ??

    Funny you should mention that. There was just a discussion on the historic house and farm museum list about eels in Colonial America. Apparently they were popular and mentioned in several period recipes.

    Mmmm...eel pye. :D

    Vdammit, web server won't post and i keep loosing my detailed message

    look up eel weirs on google images. used to catch eels back in the day. there are some on the rapp at the rte 1 bridge

    ilona got the flu so we didn't last long on sat. just one largemouth
    we left as the tide rolled in

    potomac was just perch yesterday.

    Rob, Rich here. Just an idea, but they have grills and easy wading at the Swain's Lock access point on the Potomac, off River Road. Maybe when the weather warms up a bit we could combine smallmouth fishing with an impromptu "tailgate" in the afternoon?
