Zhumir with tampico unless you really want to get messed up then Zhumir mixed with Pilsener... its not bad. Tropico is dirt cheap and tastes ok with coke but Zhumir is so good I´ll drink it straight as well.

Back to the topic, its sad to see the way guerron and in general the way Ecuador plays, most players are very individualistic and only play for themselves. Guerron and Benitez were true cancers against Brazil and Paraguay, 4 points in the trash.

On the brightside, Peru is next and Ecuador is only 3 points away from Uruguay (Llugano and Rodriguez are not going to play against Brazil).

Next game is win or win.

    http://goal.com/en/news/12/spain/2009/04/27/1232436/getafe-sack-coach-victor-munoz

Victor Munoz has been sacked as manager of La Liga side Getafe. This sacking could be good news for Joffre Guerron, who over the past few weeks has disappeared entirely from the lineup. Could a fresh start under a new manager be on the cards? Or has Guerron already seen his last action for the Spanish outfit? Former manager and current free agent, Bernd Schuster, will likely be favourite to take the hot seat at the Madrid based club.

Well, you are kinda contradicting yourselves with these commments. He plays for Getafe. So...it's in la Liga, but it is still Getafe.

Let's say he plays in the Bundesliga...Hamburg? Bremen? Schalke? Wolfsburg? Hertha? All these teams play European football. That is as top level as it gets. It doesn't matter what league you play in, it matters what team you play in. Getafe is the bottom of the gutter man, in 18th place.

It could be Karlsruhe or or Bielefeld - still teams looking for relegation. Or he could be in England with the mighty Newcastle. A team with a great name and great history in a great league. But they are getting relegated. It would not matter, would it? It no longer is the top, tiop, top, unless he is playing for a competitive team.

Before he succeeds with any league, he needs to succeed with his club first - which he isn't doing so at the moment, then he can worry about which league he wants his success.

Re: Joffre Guerron - official thread

I see your point ... I guess what I'm trying to say is that HE needs to stop thinking that because he is La Liga .. he will "use" the club to "get to a better one" like he stated at the start of his career there...

I bet that he thinks because he in one of the two best leagues in the world right now he is all that ....

Nah.. I say no, I say put him in the Dutch league .. or German league in teams in the bottom of the table..

Lookat Grafite .. and what he has done for Wolvesberg... an unknown brazilian makes some beautiful goals and knows what to do...

Look at Guerron .. voted best player of the Copa Libertadores.. goes to Spain and messes it up with his attitude... 90% of his failure in Europe is his pompous and overly aggressive attitude.

I'd like to see Guerron get another chance. He had the bad luck of going to a terrible team, with terrible defense (they've actually scored more goals than ever this season, they've also given up a lot more), and a terrible coach.

I am not ready to blame his attitude as the reason for his failure this season. Surely it hasn't helped, but if his attitude is so terrible, why wasn't it an issue at Liga? I don't think he changed overnight. Plus, he's not the only soccer player in the world with a big ego...a LOT of top-level athletes are competitive jerks. That's why you need good coaches to manage them and build team spirit.

As a footballer, Guerron is defined by his fiery attitude. That is what makes him a huge threat, his intensity and drive can be perceived in his attacking style. A good manager, like Bauza, would harness that potential and turn it into a positive force, capable of becoming a world-class winger (yes I said it). Unfortunately, from what I can tell it seems like Victor Munoz is kind of a timid guy, and probably not a good leader. Certainly from his results, he hasn't really proven himself as a manager, having gone through 3 clubs since 2006. I find his coaching abilities much more questionable than Guerron's talent.

related to Guerron, but not related at the same time...

ecua needs a coach to harness those talents, that understands big egos, and commands respect....that is how Guerron can become effective for the NT...

Re: Joffre Guerron - official thread

Hit it right on the head! Its all about a coach being able to control a player like that, his ego, his attitude, but also that is what defines him. A good Manager wont throw him under the bus when he does some of the dumb things that was reported he did, instead pull him to a side, talk to him, don't make him look worst in front of the others. He is just really a young guy, at what 22-23? He still has growing up to do, as IMO people dont mature as fast as they used to like say 30 years ago. late 20s now is early 20s for people way back. Its all about taking a guy like that, bringing him to a good coach and putting him under his wing.

My point is, he has tons of raw talent, he can if put in the right sitation tear any league in half playing from the wings, as IMO he sort of reminds me of C. Ronaldo, and has the same talent and ego to make him into a player like that one day.... but it will take a good manager like Sir Alex with Ronaldo, to tame the beast and harness that potential and turn it into a C. Ronaldo.

Right now, i'd love to see Schuster back at Getafe or him with Hugo Sanchez at Almeria, both IMO good guys to bring him to and can control him possibly.

yeah, my point is that ecuador lacks a coach like that for the NT....sixto clearly lacks the presence to be respected by the players

    http://goal.com/en/news/12/spain/2009/04/27/1233294/michel-announced-as-new-getafe-coach

Former Real Madrid midfielder Jonathan Miguel Martin Del Campo ('Michel') has been announced as the new manager of Getafe. He will take over the role untill the end of the season. The Spaniard has quite a poor record in management, in which during his so far short management career, he failed to gain promotion with Rayo Vallecano from the Segunda Division into La Liga during the 2005-06 season, this when the club were expected to go up, and in his most recent role he got the Real Madrid B side known as Real Madrid Castilla, relegated from the Segunda Division.
