So... that explains the 'Spurs fan' part. Except for the PAC-NW, all of them went away once Keller left 'em. Go figger. {YEah, I just made that shit up, but it makes just as much sense}
You want a real laugh - go read some of the crap on the Red Snatch Boys thread. My favorite line was this: "As for going back to c-bus in numbers....it may not happen ever again as they have done what they threatened to do if we lite bombs. The security and FO sent us an email stating after the antics of saturday all TFC fans will no longer be allowed to bring ANY, i repeat ANY flags, banners, drums and poles. Never again. they have banned all AND every single TFC fan will be thoroughly searched and patted down as we enter. SOoooooo the debate has begun if we go back...let go some place in large numbers lol actually, after there GM put out a totally provoking video saying we had no class? what the ******** did they expect. stupid idiot." Sounds like the FO is going to be cracking down on these jackasses.
Good. Those banners were offensive as hell and if it resulted in a revoking of privileges I am fine with it. I am not normally a censor kind of guy, but they really crossed the line with at least three different banners.
There was a video, I didn't really view it as calling me out. Granted I had no intention of going to the game (I share a birthname with a Jamaican-born Muslim Extremist and wouldn't really want the hassle of crossing the border) so it wasn't really directed at me either.
I dont recall that either, the vid's easily available several places including youtube.... But it doesnt matter, only thing matters is what some jerkwad wants to use as an excuse: "No class.... I'll show him no class!!!"
There was actually a different photo of STB hanging in the CFO waving his THFC flag. If that picture doesn't show up: http://web.archive.org/web/20010807...ildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/hooligan.jpg
If they're not planning on coming down en masse, I wonder if that means an end to the league's plan of having our home opener being against them every year. Obviously, the league was WANTING them to come down, so they could point to their "incredible fan support." Wouldn't the CFO want to MINIMIZE the amount of visiting fans inside CCS by doing things like hosting TFC on a Wednesday night? That's what I was thinking about earlier. Now, I wonder what the chances are of us NOT hosting TFC as an opener.
Easy fix. Why dont we just move that match until later in the season when they're eliminated from contention and are, thus, less likely to travel?
They'll come down regardless of when it is in the season. Because we're the MLS Cup Champions, and playing against us is as close as that sorry ass excuse for a club is ever going to come to that trophy.
Frankly, this doesn't ring true. First of all, what would "the securty" be doing signing off on an email to TFC fans. They don't make policy. Secondly, I don't think Mark McCullers would have raced to a keyboard and pounded out an email like that. If he was going to implement that kind of policy he'd wait until next year to do it. What's the point in doing it now? Maybe it's the real deal, but I don't buy it. It IS however interesting that they admit that the FO warned them to clean up their act or face some consequences. Of course they ignored it, because they're stupid twerps. What they need is for MLSE and MLS to explain some things to them, but neither of those parties seems to have the balls.
'Dont put that on the internet!' [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRKwTQMhFEs"]YouTube - TFC 2009[/ame]
The guy wears velcro shoes I s#it you not, and dont call him puumba I think he's bi-polar and will kill you on the spot.
to much anger , the banners were ... no matter how much u try make them look bad . next time maybe you can come up with some funny stuff too.... and the papers thing to funny even if ur gunna cry about seeing it b4 point is it was funny , great tri
The video is history. Funny - just like the video of TFC fans in BMO harassing Crew fans, along with Toronto police wrestling some drunk to the ground and putting on the cuffs. They get them taken down very quickly, don't they? What a bunch of losers.
by the way I went to the stadium store today and I saw the workman making repairs to the south stands today. I also saw this today, why do they have what looks like an 80 yr working as a security guard, also check out the guy throw coins and a beer on the field. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=62599332121
