I think Janicki had a similiar thing happen last year at Houston after colliding with Stuart "Pretty Boy" Holden... bandaged his head up and went back out. There's a good shot on the WP site, but it's not very big: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/03/22/AR2009032201434.html
Seriously, does anyone know if they're OK? I was at the game yesterday, and McTavish looked REALLY wobbly after he came off the field. I had to stop some of my fellow Galaxy fans from booing them by pointing out the blood pouring down both their faces. I genuinely hope they're OK.
I read one of the news thread, don't remember which one I clicked to read it, and exactly what the phrase was, but it sounded like they are OK despite the staples and stitches. I'll see if I can find it again.
I know this one above isnt one of the exact accident but instead of ben taking a shot for the team like a man.... god i've missed him on the field.
Let's make this an equal opportunity thread. A representative of our country and our local team. Let's not forget she has played with a broken toe and was about the calmest I've ever seen somebody after breaking a leg.
That scared the crap out of me because he didn't get up for a while after he was hit. 3 concussions in one game is BAD.
Holy shit, I can't believe there are actually people who WANT to see pictures of people bleeding. What the hell is wrong with some of you? Do you slow down for traffic accidents hoping to see bloodied victims???? Yecch.
well just that these guys with face covered up with blood and the next mintue out in the filed heading a ball with bandage wrapped up around their head make me.. you know.. pumped up?
Since I've probably already been added to a few more watch lists let me explain myself regarding the car accidents. In my defense(maybe), I'm that person who pulls over for accidents and does whatever I can even if that just means calling it in. For example, I was driving in some bad conditions about a month ago near the WV/VA border and lost count of all the accidents I saw that night/morning(nothing good happens after 2 - especially in West Virginia). It started as snow, but it quickly turned into an ice storm and a thick layer of ice on everything. The snow hadn't been plowed and the roads hadn't been treated so became packed down and then the ice came down on top of that. Seemingly every mile I saw an accident. I saw 18-wheelers, minivans, cars and everything else. The roads I was driving on were hilly and everything was being shut down, but there was nowhere to safely pull off and wait it out. Chances are, you were going to crash. I even saw a couple police cars slowly slide into each other. At least three times, whatever vehicle that was directly in front of me crashed(I was always a good distance back so it wasn't my fault). Anyways, I stopped for all of the accidents that police weren't already at. Amazingly, I didn't mess up my clothes.
