United for DC is asking for folks to help out at the SunTrust National Marathon this Saturday morning. As someone who has stood out in Nor'easters (twice) to watch DC United play I can say there is nothing wrong with doing something stupid on purpose! K

For me it's the euphoric feeling sometimes known as the runner's high. I find it a tremendous accomplishment to complete a marathon within a decade. I can understand though how you non-runners wonder about the allure of the running community. That friendly nod from a compatriot as you're plodding out to your car. You just don't get my physique by not working on it!
