Valencia is worth no more than 15 million, at this point. This could change though.

Exactly, Palacios left for 15 mil. I don't understand why people come to shock when they hear Valencia is worth above that point when Steve Bruce even admits that Valencia is worth more than Palacios. He's Wigan's best player so any price above 15 mil is justice.

I hope he doesn't go to Man. U though, I'd like to Valencia playing in Liverpool.

LOL. Is that the best you got? You have nothing to attack me with so instead you invent a story regarding a Countries destination?
Tell me why is that you think that people who may not have origins related to Ecuador would for some reason have difficulty in knowing it's continental location? I have seen you do this a few times at Big Soccer. Why Young Grasshopper, why?

funny story....a lot of people that don't really know geography that well have had some issues with knowing Ecuador's location on a map. That and the fact that our national team is comprised mainly of Afro-Ecuadorians has many people under the assumption that Ecuador is an African nation when in fact it isn't. Better yet, the Afro-Ecuadorian population is so minuscule compared to mestizo, white, and indigenous populations....People do get thrown off, that is a fact. Although I'm not at all saying you have difficulty because it shows that you know a good amount about Ecuador, I just wanted to add this little tidbit.

As for Valencia, our boy seems to be out for the qualifiers with a muscle injury that Wigan doctors can keep him off the pitch for 3 weeks....this adds substance to his performances for the past 2 weeks. Lets hope for the miracle!

Looks like we'll have Guerron in for Valencia.

p.s. actually the afro-ecuadorian population isn't miniscule. The entire province of Esmeraldas is predominantly black as well as part of Imbabura like Valle del Chota. There are large black populations also in the major cities and surrouding areas like in Guayaquil and to a lesser degree in Quito.

they seem to be higher in the overall population but its actually a false notion...I think the latest census had the black population of Ecuador at under 5% of the total population. Afro-Ecuadorians are overwhelmingly represented in Esmeraldas extending southwards on the coast and in parts of the oriente as well as northern Ecuador (i.e. Chota). Urban Afro-Ecuadorians is a newer trend dating back just a few decades and they are nowhere near anything close to even 10% of a city's population.

I do not remember seeing any blacks in guayaquil except for the occasional 6 foot 1 monster selling Bollos..You almost don't see any people from the sierra also.

Check the date on that article, my friend.

Just a week ago vs Sunderland, Valencia looked to be back 100%. He was running and hustling like a beast and I'm sure it didn't occur to anyone that the injury was still lingering.

looking 100% and feeling 100% are two different beast. No One should ever bring back a footballer or for that matter any athlete too soon after any injury. That's dangerous shit. Can you absolutely be 100 percent certain that Valencia didn't pickup any other injury due to it? Muscles depend on other muscles.. just because you injured your biceps doing curls doesn't mean you can go out there and start bench pressing. And I thought valencia has one of his quieter games against sunderland.

LOL. Another childish response from the teenage brat of the forum. Hey, by all means keep them coming though, because with each week that goes by you just drain the seriousness out of yourself and your true age range begins to show. Hopefully though, one day when you become an adult, and should you still be a member of Big Soccer, then myself and other members might actually be able to have a proper football related conversation with you. I will look forward to this day.

Perhaps when you become an adult and learn more about the footballing world, then you will hopefully look back on your posts overall in the Ecuador section of Big Soccer and realise how much of an embarrassment and childish brat you looked. I mean do you ever think to yourself why you are making new enemies with each week on this board??? Anyways, like I said buddy, I look forward to the day that myself and other board members here can actually have a proper football related discussion with you.

First of all, this board is opinion based. Its not my fault new Ecuadorians or posters like you come on these and just because I'm argentine automatically thinks i know nothing about Ecuadorian football. The truth of the matter, I have been watching, Played and drank with ecua footballers for more than 24+ years ..That's just true.. No way around it.. I come on here and say Felipe and segundo castillo are too f.v.cking slow for the EPL and people all of sudden get offended, especially the new know nothing posters. and when we decide to look back at my post criticizing players, we'll see who right on target. June is right around the corner..
