1.) Red Bull's GK really should have stopped the two he's let by. But then again, he's kept RB from being down 4.

2.) Montero's play reminds me a lot of vintage Pescadito, minus the diving.

3.) I remember wanting Tyrone Marshall out a couple years back. Sadly, he'd walk into our starting 11 today.

4.) A tad jealous every time they mention the structure of Seattle's team, with season ticket holder's electing a GM every 4 years. And the scarf being the ticket to the game to ensure the stadium'd be bathed in color. They just seem to be doing everything right up there. I said a tad jealous. I think I meant overwhelmingly jealous.

5.) I think Nate Jaqua and Alan Gordon are the same person.

that atmosphere is amazing....i wonder if it holds up there....plus the Sounders won't be playing like an expansion team...harder work for us....

    Couple things:

1)Fredi Montero, 22 years old, my first impression.. sublime skills

2)The crowd in Seattle looks good on TV

    3) RedBulls made the finals last year?

Seriously! I think they said he scored 40something-er-other goals in Colombia in 64 games, and isn't 22 yet?!? How did we not pick up this kid ourselves?

    Couple of other things:

    1) I know a lot of people feel differently, but I wouldn't actually mind a band. The more noise the better.

    2) Seattle has a decent looking roster for an expansion team

    3) Keller looked strong in goal. Even at 39, I believe we could given us the leadership we've been needing in the back

    4) Drew Carey is BigFoot's cousin

Very nice turnout. I can't believe a majority of that crowd stood! They seem to understand soccer atmosphere.

They said that about 20K season tix were sold. Wow.

    Lime green is ugly.

The marching band is rather lame. If they played the Great Escape theme song, that'd rock but overall having a band isn't that good.

I ask myself this like 5 times a season.

Sigi's now brought this kid (who looks the business, though it's early), GBS, and Ruiz into the league. Dude has connections, knows what talent looks like, and can build a team—especially when owners aren't forcing his hand with old Korean defenders and washed up Mexican starlets.

Yeah, I'm tired of being asked to sit down

Great Escape! Now there's an idea

I thought it was kind of a charming idea at first but it just sort of detracted from the genuine crowd support. I do like it when a fan brings a trumpet to a game and plays the occasional tune. But a full-on marching band is just too much.

can you guys start saying nice things about Kirovski? Hopefully D.Carrey will read this, gets impressed and goes for our trade Kirovski vs Colombian Pele lol

I also can't believe we didn't pick up anyone of similar talent in the offseason...that would be too hard...go out and look....it was so much more convenient just to get the old average players Bruce knew from back in the days....hell get you ass on the plane and bring me 3 young talented African midfielers or attackers and i'll be worshiping and washing your feet like Jesus....

I was pretty impressed with that Alonso guy. Was he one of the Cubans that trialed with us last year? If so, why in the f**k didn't we sign him again?

I'm hooked.. I like everything the Seattle Sounders are about.

I love Keller in the back.

This kid Montero is for real. It is not to early to be mentioning "MVP" with him.

When Ljundberg gets on this team oh sh*t... they will be scary offensively.

The Defense is another story... but they really take the "team" concept into defense though, A Sigi Trademark. But you know in the back of you mind that the Seattle ownership will buy whatever they need to, to make there team a winner for there fans.

    -------- Flip the mirror ------------------------------

I'm not hooked.... I almost hate everything the Los Angeles Galaxy are about. (AEG's complete fault)

I am so indifferent about Donovan Ricketts in the back.

Jovan Kirovski is not for real. It is not to early to be mentioning "Injured list" with him.

When David Beckham gets on this team oh sh*t.... He will be a scary bitchy and whiny Turd. The teams offense will be lacking when he and donovan play only 6 matches together because of national team call ups.

The Defense is another story.... but they really take the "to old to run back" concept to heart on a Bruce Arena trademark team. And you know in the back of your mind that AEG will push more merchandise and ignore the standings when July comes around.. And everyone on here will get several dozen more emails from LAG telling you to buy your AC Milan tickets. Because our owners don't give (2) of the most fowlest, liquidiest, stringiest off color black&brown with chunks of asparagus and raw egg yokiest shits about the fans.

    F*ck You Tim Lieweke.

I'm with you all on Montero. Sublime doesnt even really begin to describe him. Though I am going off the assumption that he can display the same level of play he did tonight on a consistent basis, I'm going to go out on a limb now and say it, this kid's the real deal. He's got a deft touch, great speed and acceleration, makes great intelligent runs and has the vision of a player with much more experience than he's got. He's going to be a star. I wonder how long MLS will be able to hang onto him.

In other thoughts, Keller is timeless, Nyassi looked dangerous for much of the time and their central defender who's name I forgot, but it was a Black guy with a hispanic surname was also a stud.

Looks like Sigi put together a good team.......again:(

Ironic how the same Sigi the Galaxy so dishonorably got rid of is pretty much the toast of MLS and the most important coach in the league. Seattle destroyed New York and with 8 teams in the West I'm not sure the Galaxy fits into the playoff picture. ARRRGGGHHHHH!

I'll reserve judgement on how good the Seattle team really is until I see them play against a real MLS team...

The good news from the game is that the Galaxy won't have the worst defense in the league this season.
