I'm just playing. I agree it's a big milestone that should be recognized.

Selfishly, I hope he does it in our home opener.

Understood. If you can, be a prick at DC United and MLS for dropping the ball on this one. :D

If I had three guesses, I'd say they were either auditors, federal regulators, or the IT department.

That's ok, there's a workaround. When you can't yell at people, just beat them quietly. :)

Today's meeting was with people a couple of pay grades above mine. Yelling would have been inadvisable.

Beatings, while satisfying, are considered a CLM (career-limiting move.)

No, the right way is to drown them with inarguable data. You do two things - you bore them, and you win.

    :)

Using FF 3.07 with Adblock Plus and no errors.

Anyone else notice MLS is now listing fixtures as home vs away? Finally!

We knew many of you preferred European style of listing matches, so we went with that and moved away from US conventions of home team on the bottom or last.

We also updated the code so users with Adblock won't receieve an error message. (Adblock wasn't happy we called the carousel at the bottom "Sponsors" and was trying to block all the logos. But those logos make DCU possible, so maybe whitelisting our site isn't such a terrible thing?)

I like the new site.. I am sure as it matures a little the ongoing work will make it even better.
Happy to report no problems with loading it on Safari. :p

The middle bit looks really nice but think the background, pixalated picture that shows on the side makes it appear I'd agree with a few people iffy. I'm glad to see DCU staying on the forefront of development at MLS and having an identity of its own, just something that really struck me on first glance. I'd much rather see the shall we say "industrial" look of the middle extended to the sides and leave the picture out.

AND FINALLY it just stays at dcunited.com, always hated it went to mlsnet.com :D

    Well done beyond that though!!

Hmm, I might have to contact their site designer and ask them about their GSA pricing. Nice looking sites.

nice work, site looks great. Is there any video of Limarzi in action during a game broadcast? I'm having a hard time picturing him in a more hyperactive state.

Funny, Just Tuesday after I got home from the stadium rally in Annapolis I was looking through all the teams websites, and DC's was the WORST. Not only did we still have the nasty canned MLSnet.com standard style, but we were the only team that had the OLD one. Even the teams that still had the canned version had updated to the new canned version, which is nicer than the old. I was most impressed by Sounders FC's website. Theirs is fantastic, and really made me kind of jealous. Then today I look and man, i was blown away. DCU is now back as one of the TOP MLS web presences, and that was a great thing to see for sure!s Great job on the site, it looks awesome!

looks pretty good for a Drupal site!

I'm still bummed that they decided to hire a full time web developer/database admin after I moved away from DC!

In exploring the new site I found this:
I wonder if they're going to bring in Bob Johnson, former BET owner and owner of the Charlotte NBA franchise to help finance the stadium.

That stadium as a concert venue would be a natural for a guy with that BET background.

I'd rather have Sheila Johnson as part of the group.

That'll pretty much rule out Aaron McGruder as a potential season ticket holder.

I'll be happy to white-list it, but I'm glad you fixed the problem for people coming by for the first time who aren't as into the sponsors as we might be :)
Please pay to have the satellite equipment installed at my house :)
Once they adapt their sister company DTV's "free equipment" policy, I'm all over it, but until then, dial-up is my only option.

Really? It's Drupal? Had no idea, the only thing that may have tipped me off was the taxonomy in the URLs. :)

Still would like to see a semi-smaller font... I'm old, but not THAT old. :D

I was going to say I liked the larger fonts because they'd be easier to see on my phone, but that was before I heard they were working on a mobile version of the site.

    And I AM that old...
