donadoni will be coach of napoli...they need a change, maybe he will start russotto who has outshown those players starting ahead of him for some time now, yet always only got 15-30 minutes tops

    1. What the heck happened to Robben? Was he shitlessly scared to run against Lpool or what?
    2. Do managers do home work? Its not like Rafa's Liverpool were new to the scene... Awful preparation. If not for their run in La Liga they would publicly sacrifice him.
    3. Referees in THAT kind of competitions HAVE to use video evidence: Two goals coming from ref mistakes, one goal not counted at all, stupid freak show by Drogba, and yes, second yellow is a SERIOUS decision.
    4. I wanted English clubs out of competition; just with ManU I was ready to wait one more round... Now lets hold fingers for them to play each other. For Roma to go through would be a pleasant surprise, and Inter - well, Inter OUT!!!!

yeah the goals against madrid, the first two, were debateble. The second one more so than the first but even then Madrid did not look up for that game for even 15 minutes.

Liverpool always looked much better and there have been plenty of games in the CL when liverpool went through even though they didnt deserve to but today they fully deserved that victory. Score could have also been higher.

Juve at least played well, and might have done better if they started giovinco. Guy was a constant thorn in the chelsea defence.

And yeah, like jpick said, i was surprised with how much better they did than it was expected.

They are maybe a couple of players away from having a very capable squad.

    Still hope Inter lose.

if casillas had not been on top form today, it would have been 7-0...i don't think that's an exagerration. their midfield got rolled today. I still think gago is a good player, but he put in a performance this match that if pirlo or seedorf had put in, the fans would have had protests in front of their houses. he just couldn't handle the midfield pressure at all and was caught in possession more than nick nolte, of course it didn't help that robben decided to not show for the ball once in 45 minutes. sneijder has had a horrid season and might be on his way out if he doesn't get his head straight this summer, and he wasn't good today but at least he looked like he tried, i don't think robben bothered to show up today. shame too, cause i know he's a classy player when he wants to be...

this is why i am glad to not make the cl, on down years i would rather just stay out and re-group as opposed to embarrass ourselves, of course, unless we make some reinforcements in the summer, we might be in the same boat next season...:p

as for juve, given their injuries and against hiddink, i thought they were goners, but they played well. as you mention, why ranieri doesn't start giovinco more only he knows. he was impressive, dare i say it, he outplayed del piero tonight

Lets not forget that Seba came late, fresh and energetic and played against tired defense, thus his achivements should be put into proportion. Saying that, however, I have to admit that he is one hell of a player, and if everything works for him a future of Italian NT.

I can't and won't blame Gago, he was left alone in the middle, stranded with 3-4 Lpoolians converging on him, with no real option to pass.

true, that is why i can't blame him too much, the english teams press really hard, and other than barca and before last year milan, most continental midfields can't handle it. juve did an ok job this year, but then again ballack had a poor match and i don't think essien was fully fit. plus chelsea ain't quite as athletic and don't constrict space as hard as liverpool

inter looked like they were in big trouble, but toward the end of the half, they started to play better. should be an exciting second half.

yeah, balotelli played decent, ibra actually has showed up a little for a big match, but i think man united will get the second and kill them off.

honestly, i haven't been impressed by balotelli at all. his free kicks have been crap and his passing hasn't been that great other than the one he slipped through to ibra. scholes has looked really old. i don't know that i would have kept him on for the second half.

EDIT: and there's number 2. rooney to ronaldo. pretty.

Performances today by Zlatan are why he isn't in the class of Messi, Ronaldo, or Kaká. And soon(if not already) Pato will surpass Zlatan as the best striker in Serie A. He is not a big match player. Goodbye Inter, enjoy another fake scudetto ;)

The state of Italian football is a ********ing tragedy. No finishing, no creative play, no poise.

The 90's seem like a very long time ago.

And this is why Inter's dominant run in Serie A will long be forgotten in history. They are dominating the weakest Serie A we've seen in 30 years.

dont be so surprised. The last time any team besides milan did anything worthy in the CL was the 2002-2003 season when juve were in the final and inter in the semi-final.

what is kaka now?! haha. well for starters a cl winner. a scudetto winner. a ballon d'or winner. A fifa worldplayer of the year winner.

Oh and zlatan played well against man united? further proof of how low inter's standards are in europe. Kaka had 3 goals against the aforementioned competition and thats what milan fans refer to as good.

dont have time with us? Why are you on our forum then?

Enjoy your serie A. As inter fans always say, "Maybe next year."

    But probably not.
