Thanks to everyone who came out to the Mezz on Weds night for the US-Mexico game. It was a huge turnout and a great atmosphere. We'll have another flag and banner painting session on the patio at the Mezz on Sunday, Feb. 15, starting around 11:00 am. See the Texian Army site for more information.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Mezz for yesterday's painting session. We had over 20 people come help create 11 new player banners and paint almost all of the drums. We'll have a few more events next weekend to get ready for the new season. On Saturday, Feb. 21, we'll have one more banner/flag repair session. Our drummers will also have a meeting on Saturday. On Sunday, Feb. 22, we'll have a short general meeting, followed by a song/drum session at the Mezz. See the Texian Army site for more details and updates.

They represent us well, on and off the field, and we are excited about what the upcoming season brings. For more information regarding the TA and its activities, log on to www.texianarmy.org or e-mail contactus@texianarmy.org. We encourage all those of the Texian Army to please make it out this Sunday, February 22 noon time, Robertson Stadium.
I am re-posting what I already posted since the moderator doesn't understand the difference between sarcasm and serious. I think how you guys handle the scarves is cool. The price you charge makes the scarf only bought by the serious TA type of fan. I think that makes the ones that buy the scarves that much more dedicated to the TA. I also wanted to know if you guys hand out scarves to all the players every year or just the new guys. DON'T MOVE THIS POST COUGARCLAWS!!!!!! THIS IS AN ACTUAL COMPLIMENT TO THE TA. AND STOP SENDING ME WEIRD THREATS OF PRIVATE MESSAGE.
If I want to compliment the Texian Army, I will. I will not ask for your permission schwabe or anyone else. You cannot stop me from giving the TA a compliment. (please make up your minds....seriously)
Schwabe, he is complimenting us. Thanks ATPAG. We gave every player a scarf along with the coaching staff. It was a very informal thing for us just to say thankyou and good luck this year. I am sure that pictures will be coming soon.
Some more photos of the event are posted here: http://mydynamo.ning.com/photo/albums/texian-army-scarf-presentation
Here's the video. The Texian Bateria, the Texian drum core, is rehearsing the day before and they provide the soundtrack for the video. The presentation occurred on Feb 23, 2009. Dom addressed the Texian Army at the end of the video. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cO0lyPEmrvo"]YouTube - Texian Army - Scarf Presentation for Dynamo[/ame]

I like the part when the camera pulls back, and you can see one of the balloons obscure the jumbotron camera feed. Like a thousand little balloons and one REALLY big one.
