Take the season ticket base and add about 2,000 curious/dragged in a head lock types and that will be your attendance. Heck anything over 8,000 actual (17,000 announced) souls in attendance should be cause for celebration.

I e-mailed everyone I know about the game and I got a few responses. I knew not all would go but I asked everyone to forward the message on so I hope that will get people out there.

    My prediction......22,500

My question is not how many are gonna be there but how many of us are gonna run on the field when we win.

I e-mailed about 30 people. I hope they forwarded my message on. If not, oh well. I tried.

Winning the US Open cup in front of no one: priceless

There are some promotions even monkeys can't mess up, for everything else there's MFO.

thats funny d0uchebag, your team couldnt sell itself on the fact that "the national championship" was more important that a petr nowak testimonial match, and a mexico friendly...its one thing to be brutally ignorant, but at least we were able to secure Giants Stadium for this game so it wouldn't have been some filler while nowak's old balls got warmed up...go marlins

Have you seen the wall around the field? Have you seen the distance from the field and that huge wall? If you make it past the goal, I'll buy your Metr err, I mean ESC membership for 2004 and 2005. Yes it's in writing.

Don't get ideas guys, I'll only pay it to one person!

Yes, it will be a challenge but if we; I mean, WHEN WE WIN the championship; do you think they can stop the ESC!!!

Remains to be seen, but you can count on 101 being closed for the duration of the Metros existance at Giants Stadium if it does happen.

    How about a little perspective:

Since the beginning of MLS only two US Open Cup games have drawn more than 15,000 people and only one final has drawn more than 10,000.

I'm gonna say 12.500. This game has not recieved much media coverage except by the usual supporters in the press. I'll be there. Go Metros!!

Today's NY Post sports section has nothing about the game -- not even a line in the sidebar on what's going on around town.

A whole column on bear hunting. this rag is going out of its way to avoid even the mention of the game tonight.

It is noted in the TV listings: 8pm on MSG and again at 12am.

The Post is a total rag.

Nothing in Daily News either, except listed in local team box with a star mentioning that its the USOC Final, but no article or anything.
