I'm just wondering who is going making the 7 hour drive to nashville? i'm looking into going not sure what my schedule will be next quarter though
Would love to go as Nashville is only 2 hours from my house, but being on a Wednesday it is going to be hard getting off of work.
If I can figure out my schedule for next quarter I am in for sure. We should all possibly talk about maybe making or getting a Nordecke USA banner to take to all the away USA matches if we all go together as a group.
There's nothing wrong with stopping in Kentucky and getting some of their finest... (Although, Kentucky is about to raise taxes on liquor, so apparently everyone is in a mad dash to buy whatever they can...even though they'll eventually have to pay the higher taxes.)
I think it's only a 3 1/2 hour drive for me. About the same as it is to Columbus. So i'll be there. So i haven't even looked about hotel and ticket info. I guess i'll do that soon.
Wanted to go when I got the email about the pre-sale. But can't swing Wednesday. Got my eye on that June 6th game (against Honduras?) in Chi-town. I'll have to see what the Crew schedule is first though.
Don't worry about stopping in KY. Wait till you get to TN, they have Yeungling there! Sorry I can't join you guys, I'll be in SLC the next night cheering on the Crew!
I am definitely thinking about doing this. When I worked in the Christian music industry (yes, please do laugh it up...), this was their mecca, so i was there quite a bit. And outside of the crazy Jesus people, it's actually a really cool city. The honky tonk bars are fun on a bunch of completely different levels. If anyone else is going, I highly recommend the San Antonio Taco Company (SATCO). It's not a bar, though i believe they serve beer, but their chips and queso rival any out there. BB kings also ain't too bad. Finally for some of the best fried chicken i've ever had, there's a place called McDougals out on the Vandy campus. Aside from the food, i also hear they're having a soccer game...
