A little late to be starting one of these, but I went to talk about the Florida-UT game (which we won 2-0!) and I saw that there wasn't one. Here is the official website: http://utladyvols.ocsn.com/sports/w-soccer/tennw-w-soccer-body.html You can basically find everything on there. Right now, we are 8-4, but that will definitely change so I'll keep you updated. The SEC Championship game is on November 8, and we hope to be in it. We haven't done as well this season as we expected to, but beating Florida turned everything around. I'll keep you updated on everything, including Rhian Wilkinson's adventures at the World Cup with team Canada.
My ankle has been giving me more problems this year than I expected it. I've been at all practices, but haven't been playing much because I'm afraid I'll make it worse.
Wow thats really cool! I love UT! My mom went there! My dad went to Georgia so I love my dawgs too but anytime else I root for the Vols! I really want to go there but I am not good enough for the soccer team but I am still applying so maybe I can walk on or something! I hope your ankle gets better soon! I know injuries suck and good luck with the rest of your season! And keep us posted with the inside UT soccer info since thats the best info!!
Hey I'm sorry to hear that. Do you think you'll need surgery? Who have been the most impressive players in the team this year?
Thanks! UT DOES ROCK! I hope you do come here. What position do you play? We can always use more girls! The more the merrier! I'll definitely keep you guys updated daily.
Yeah, I'm gonna need surgery, which sucks. But when I recover, I'll be at the top of my game, and that'll be great. The most impressive this year have been Lyndsey Patterson, Rhian Wilkinson (when she was with us, she's been at the World Cup. GO RHIAN!) And Keeley Dowling has been awesome in the back, but she comes forward and can score goals too. Those are mostly our playmakers.
Well I hope your surgery goes well, when are you due to have it done? Have you been working as a ref in the meantime?
Not sure you play for UT!!!!!! Soccer chick, thats pretty interesting.. Are you sure you play for Tennessee??? I know Thalia Wright who is in fact #3 for the Lady Vols and she is not injured. In fact she played in the game on Sunday against South Carolina. I also know the team and the coaching staff very well and there isn't anyone on the team with an injury you are describing who is #3. Thalia is #3. In fact I dont' think there is anyone on the team with the injury you have descrived. Just wondering who you are.. Thanks... And by the way, Rhian has only played in one game this year....
I am with Amber on that one. I Im'd soccerchick yesterday and asked about the game vs. SC and she said they didn't play and then she said oh yeah we played but I wasn't there and then I was looking at pictures of the game and the last picture of the set is of # 3 Talia Wright?!?!?!!? Weird? I think so!
Re: Not sure you play for UT!!!!!! actually ... rhian has played in two games this year!!! vs. BYU and UNLV (scored her first goal vs UNLV too.) keeping tabs on all my team canada ncaa-ers. lol elaine
Did play in 2 games Elaine, yep you are right, I apologize for my oversight. Rhian did play in two games and she will be back for this coming weekend! Thanks for pointing it out.
Well whoever some of you clowns think Soccerchick is/isn't, I'm a bit more interested to hear more of her thoughts. What kind of style of play and formation do the Lady Vols play? Do you play a nice 4-2-3-1 passing game or is it all 4-3-3 hoof and chase? Do you spend more time doing fitness/physical stamina than working on your ball skills?
