Will it be unified instead of North/South next season? I was wading through the muddy waters of Swedish football wikis earlier, looking at Limhamn Bunkeflo 2007, which lost a relegation playoff. So, they will go from Superettan down to Div. 1 in 2009, but it was unclear as to whether the division was going to be unified for 2009
Hey! LB07 will play in the Division 1 South and this is the schedule: http://www.svenskfotboll.se/ft.aspx?scr=fixturelist&ftid=19406 Here are the standnings etc: http://www.svenskfotboll.se/t1o.aspx?p=286924 Happy reading!
No worries, I realize the Swedish FA-site is hard to navigate if you don't speak the language. Yes they lost in the qualification round against a team from my hometown, Vasalund. Where does your interest of LB07 originate from?
I'm not sure I have a good answer for that. In Allsvenskan, I decided upon Malmo FF to follow. Malmo seems like an interesting city. It's big but not Stockholm. Also, I love the pics of the Turning Torso that I've seen. Just a cool building. I know of no other Allsvenskan team in that municipality, so I thought I'd look at the lower league pages, and settled on LB07. I was just fascinated that it was a team with a new identity (merged from two other teams, I guess). And it was in Superettan. I love second-level leagues. I love seeing who might get promoted. Unfortunately for LB07, they were relegated. But I still want to read up on them.
Cool, Malmö and the Skåne/Öresund area is nice, even though most of my fellow Stockholm citizens wouldn't agree . Well post any questions on the thread and I can help you out. What ever interest in Swedish soccer is positive. Congrats on the Super Bowl by the way! Buccaneers next year...
======================== I arrive in Stockholm evening of June 25 and fly out on June 28. Any football going on 26th or 27th? Staying downtown
