People here are saying that Cruzeiro is finally losing its gas after trampling in the first turn. What do you think?

Cruzeiro is the worst team in Brazil. Their fans are lazy, and only attend games if Cruzeiro is winning. Every time Cruzeiro seems like they are going to win the First division for THE FIRST TIME, they trip in the end...and go down in flames.

Besides, Alex is more than half the entire Cruzeiro team...without him they are nothing. Not to mention now they have the most hated coach in Brazil at the helm, Cruzeiro will go no where.

Just let the "gay blue mafia" enjoy this period in time so they can know what it feels like to be the Brazilian champion...but in the end, it's 3rd place at best for them.

It's funny how Cruzeiro fans have a short memory, and forget how in 2001, when they had what they called the "team of stars" with the likes of Edmundo and others, they almost got relegated to the 2nd division!

Your post is just laughable. Try to make a point to discussing, instead of unjustified attacks. Just 'cause your club is lame don't give you a reason to be rude. We're discussing football here as fans, not childish hooligans.

Make an serious argument to yourself, than post again.

And, by the way, talking about short memory: your team was the LAST ONE in 1993 championship, finishing in 32º place of 32 clubs. But in that year there was no relegation for members of 'Clube dos Treze' - luck yours.

Whats laughable is when no more than 2 years ago, the President of Cruzeiro when on T.V., begging the Cruzeiro fans to be more like the fans of Atletico Mineiro!

Begging them to attend more games. Begging them to not go silent after taking one goal.

And how, according to the latest national poll, Atletico Mineiro still has the largest fan base in Belo Horizonte and the state of Minas Gerais.

This year has been bad for us, I will admit. But I will tell you why. Our board of directors recently have become sloppy. First of all by hiring the horrible Celso Roth. Then, even after a very poor run, they kept insisting on keeping him as a coach...and this was back when Tite was available for hire!!! Then they finally get rid of Roth, but by now Tite is not available anymore, and we get stuck with our well inentioned but very inexperienced current coach: Marcelo Oliveira. But oh well....we have a strong traditon in Brazil as a big club, and our fans are not "vira folhas" like the little blue balloon waving fans of another club I know.

"And how, according to the latest national poll, Atletico Mineiro still has the largest fan base in Belo Horizonte and the state of Minas Gerais."
    _______________________________________

Please, be my guest to post this poll here. Everyone knows that your club has the largest fan base in Belo Horizonte - only. The DataFolha and IBOPE polls of 2001 and 2002 clearly shows Cruzeiro fan base as the largest one in Minas Gerais state, and by a wide margin.

Gee, why is so difficult to you people to accept that? We're not in the 80's anymore. We're the most succesful club of the last 13 years in Brazil, and no one can deny that a succesful team gain the majority of fans - go check kids under 10 years old to know about their preference.

If you think that I'm biased, please ask this to other members of this board.

Another tie. No wonder why the competitors are right on our heels.

Nevertheless, the team showed a lot of guts in this particular match, after start losing by 2x0. Coritiba is not brilliant, but has a solid team for sure.

Now there are 11 rounds left and 10 points of distance between leaders Cruzeiro and 2nd place Santos. Can we say we already have a winner of Brasileirão 2003?

Not yet. There's plenty of difficult games ahead (especially versus Atlético-MG and Internacional). Could happen with the main chasers the same way that have happened with Cruzeiro in the last games - a boost of confidence, followed by good performances in the field.

Most of the fan base is aware and precautious about being overconfident. And, happily, so is Cruzeiro.

    Caro Viadinho,

    Re: YOU WILL LOSE!

    240 seconds of glory!

cruzeiro was a champ today for about 4 minutes, while fulminense had santos down by a goal..... well I like to see aristizabal score in the next 3 games at least 4 times....
who has the scoring top 5 for 2003?
