This summer I´ve been in Hastings in East Sussex. I´m very interested on international soccer. I have one blog about this kind of football. I want to write an article about football in Hastings. I need help with dates, history and teams in the town. I know some clubs like Hastings United, St. Leonards Social and Hastings Rovers. Could anybody give more details and more clubs to my investigation? Thanks to everybody
Probably not much use now, but: http://www.nomad-online.co.uk/Directory/Hastings United/Hastings United.html Nomad Online (and the forum there) is a pretty good source for info on Sussex football in general. The Sussex County League has a website at: http://www.scfl.org.uk/ Not the most user friendly. The sides closest to Hastings are Bexhill, Little Common, Sidley United and Westfield.
Hastings' ground is overlooked by Stamco's ground, or at least it was. Do Stamco (St Leonards Stamcroft) still exist?
Shame that was quirky having two clubs so close to each other, although I only ever watched City at Hastings and didn't go to Stamco when we played down there.
