is there something about the days inn fairgrounds that i don't know? me and my friends will be there and i would think that because of its proximity there would be more than one other person staying there. not that it matters since i already booked the room, but, for conversation's sake.
I've stayed at that Day's Inn in the past and it was fine. Very close to the stadium. I think the main reason people are staying downtown is just that it's closer to the party(s), and if you want to go to that as well as the game you're transporting one way or the other, so it makes sense. That said - add Leperkhan plus maybe 8-10 more from MN are staying at the Comfort Inn and Suites this time around.
Downtown has a lot of things to do, but out where you are staying there is just the game. Think about it this way: Two nights of eating and drinking downtown, but only a 4 hour stretch at the stadium. Given the transportation provided from various sources including the Sam's party and the hotels, not to mention cheap taxi's...the decision to stay downtown was easy.
