12 midnight my time here in Melbourne... perfect! :)

Hopefully, LD makes a start -- or at worst, his official Bundesliga return.

It's a friendly, Bamberg is a Regionalliga Süd club (4th level).

Another wow - they're playing Britney Spears on the loudspeaker.

The combination of the snow covered field along with Britney Spears - Womanizer playing in the background makes for a bizzaro scene.

    I'm loving this preview...

One thing is for certain, at least the Germans know how to make big trophies.

I'm shocked and delighted that they will play on a snow covered pitch. This should be interesting.

they just put at the bottom of the screen: "Bayern in a traffic jam, kickoff delayed a bit"

Edit: the reporter just said that the bus was actually stopped by the police to check the status of its winter tires.

They are talking about traffic problems again. Bayern drove up from Munich this morning, and Klinsmann said they might have gotten a late start (grin)
Bamberg called Bayern this morning and asked if they should clear the field of snow, but Bayern decided a snow-covered field is safer than a clear, but frozen field.
    15,000 in attendance.
The game is actually being played in Weismain, which is outside of Bamberg.

Klinsmann is not sure what is going to happen with him, but the transfer is up to the player.

The reporter mentioned lando and podolski in the same sentence, did it have anything to do with lando pipping podolski for the 3rd stk spot;)
