In the replay you see that if Sanchez wouldn't have gotten in the way, Yaya could've gotten to Aduriz.

If this was last season, that shot would've rebounded back into play.
    Titi comes through again.

Once again, Puyol wins the ball in the air! Nice finish by Titi!

That weak shot by Henry was all too familiar for me.

    Edit: nice tackle by Rafa!

i havent been pique's biggest fan, but i like him more than sanchez. i think that pique wouldve defenitely fouled that guy instead of letting him score.

There you go, trust in a Victor and you get mistakes  Nice finish by Thierry but look at that header pass from Captain Lionheart, wonderful! Now gimme Iniesta for the 2nd half.

I think both Iniesta and Alves should come on. Puyol has been great through the right but move him to the middle and get Sanchez out of there.

...wtf?? because he doesnt save a breakaway....its a mistake. its called someone actually figured out how to chip the ball. vv spoiled you in his last performances, those 1v1's are supposed to result in goals if you know what your doing.

Most defenders would've fouled that player not letting him go, so far out he wouldn't receive a red card, it's called smart defending

Doesn't matter how far out they are, if he's deemed the last defender he would've been sent off. And looking at the replay again, I think it was a case of damned if he fouled and damned if he didn't. Toure actually looks more to blame for giving the ball away.

I think the rule is if it's a clear scoring chance and not just the last defender. Given Toure was getting back and the Mallorca player was still far out, i doubt it's a red

Yup. And Sanchez didn't react in time. Plus, it looks like Sanchez could have at least tried to run back and cover the goal in case, you know, the attacker tried a chip.

    Alves in.

Márquez is getting all spirited out there.

Anyone else feel a weird sort of happiness when Guddy fights in midfielf and actually holds on to the ball? :p

I think you got the Victors confused. LondonCule is talking about Victor Sanchez, I think you're talking about Valdes.

I totally agree to disagree with that description.
For me, last man means last man.
A clear sending off had he fouled.
