If the Twisters score 21 against the Blast on Friday night, I will ban myself from posting on the board until February 1st, 2009. What will you do if the Twisters score 21 on Friday night?
Shutout Blast 24 Twister 0 Announced Attendance: 8,642 Actual Paid Attendance: 3,157 Turnstile Count: 4,578 Sponge Bob Square Pants Song will be played 3 times. PA Announcer will screen "Let's Go Blast" 106 times. "The NISL No Gimmicks just the best indoor soccer and entertainment in the world" - soccer-man
no, it couldn't be! the blast are going to average 8,000 this year! of course, if they have vee do their announced crowds, they'll average 14,000 - more than the building can hold!
How about we just wait the few hours and we will know what the Blast draw? There is no way to know until after Saturday's game, but I would be willing to bet that the Blast will certainly outdraw the Wave despite the fact that the Ironmen should be a much better draw than the Twisters. Inflated crowd totals are a way of life in pro sports, there is not one team big league, minor league, semi-pro that does not tweak their numbers. I really don't understand the mindset, people from other teams and leagues making it a point to crack on the Blast almost every chance they get and as fans of the NISL teams we all seem to want to eat our young. I'm just saying.
no question the blast will outdraw the wave. and probably everybody else. that's not the issue. the issue is using soccer-man's hyperbolic words against him.
It seems odd that the Twister's web site does not even reference tonight's game. Most teams should want to promote games against the Blast if for no other reason than they can provide link for a radio feed of the game.
Or maybe hoping if they ignore the game they won't have to play it. They are, however promoting the arrival of LaRaza on Sunday.
