    Nice thread, horsey!!

Juande Ramos isn't sure if Iker will play in the Clásico or not, and that it'll be hard to decide who to play on saturday. He was very happy with Dudek performance last night.

    Wow great thread start :).

I expect a fight till the end of the game. Our defense worries me, but I'm sure guys will give 100 %. Too bad Robben and Sneijder can't play, with them we would have much more chance for surprise. Let's not fool ourselves, Barca is a clear favorite. They have better quality and they are in much better form.

But in games like this, it's also about fighting spirit and desire to succeed.

My prediction: Barca 2:2 Real Madrid.

Re: Let's Predict the Line-up vs Barcelona

Let's just be sure of something, Drenthe and Gago will have as much influence on how well Messi performs as Salgado if he is indeed playing LB.
Gago, like last seasons game against them was all over Messi and this time should be no different. Drenthe will be basically playing when the ball isnt with Messi because if it is and Drenthe is not back there busting him ass to help Salgado then its not going to be the fairest of fights.

Now this is what I'm talkin' 'bout Juande....some accountability up in this piece!!!....Of course if Dudek stinks up the joint Ramos will be torn to shreds :D

Btw I think we need to come up with a nickname for J.Ramos...2 Ramos' associated with the squad is one too many for me...I am easily confused

This may not be as bad as it looks considering what we have available...but only time will tell....this could well throw off Barca's game plan as well.(well maybe not  )

I dont forsee Metz or salgado making any forward runs in this game..i think the idea is for them to just sit back and contain anything that gets past drenthe and vdv....etc

This will be a very interesting game!

I believe its ass whoopin' time horsey.

Well, maybe not. My expectations for this one are pretty low. I'd be happy with a point. I would run in the streets yelling JR's name if we can get three. The whores are definately favorite for this one. But with our new found hunger we might upset them.

Lets not kid ourselves though our defense will have really raise their game to hold their attack. We've been really ************ at the back recently. Oh and casillas has to start. I've seen enough liverpool matches to know that when you trust jerzy too much that when he screws you over. I'd feel so much better if the saint was between the sticks. Raul always shows up for the big games and he will have to really be on top of things.

Finally, i really hope salgado has a good game. The guy gets no love from us but i like his effort and enthusiasm (his rolling on the ground not so much). Sure he's not the player he was a few years ago but that guy is as tough as nails. You can't doubt his toughness. I believe in the pressure cooker enviornment of the crap nou we need experienced heads like raul, cannavaro, salgado and to a lesser extent guti to drag us through. I hope they all have a good game.

Great thread horsey. Would rep but have to spread.

For what it's worth I think Iker will start but maybe Ramos putting the 'bug' in his ear that he's not untouchable will be a motivator for our beloved saint ;)

Maybe I missed something but did Juande really say that Casillas might not start? Sauce?

Juande didn't say he was dropping Casillas. He said he has two world class goalkeepers and that he doesn't know yet which one he was going to start for the Camp Nou game. It was from his Post-match Press conference.

    Beautiful thread kick-off, Horsehead.

I trust our mob will make a fight out of it. And I don't think a draw is too far fetched.

Gago seems to have enough experience in El Clasico, expect him to be the factor of our win at Camp Nou.

    Barcelona 58 30 68 234

the biggest margin win by any club has been for Real Madrid in the bernabeu the scoreline read 8-2 in 1935... the highest scoring match has been a 5-5 in 1943 with barca leading 4-1 at half time...

We have good chances for this game...as long as salgado stays away from the pitch.
