What did he tell the referee? :D

    @ Erikbmg

Nice pics & clips and interesting report (so you've been pretty impressed by the smaller version of Boca Juniors concerning the support:)! I thought you'd also stay for Borussia's friendly in Netanya...

    You're welcome..

Bloomfield is a very nice stadium, I've been there many times, but I think Maccabi Tel-Aviv should have their own stadium with at least 30,000 capacity. M. Tel-Aviv have the biggest fan base in Israel (some claim that Beitar have more), and in good days I'm sure they will fill the stadium. On their champion game in 2003 they brought around 40,000 fans to Ramat Gan stadium...

He didn't really say something bad, just mocking him, and it happened in half time in the dressing room. Mattheus do say occasionally stuff to the referee in every game, but this is football. Coaches always disagree with the ref...

    Re: Ligat Ha'al 2008-2009

like i told u before FCMN i heard they are plans for a 60,000 new stadium in Ayalon park (dont confuse this one with the other 60,000 new stadium in Ramat Gan) so maybe this will be our new home ground when build, but i think Bloomfield can be quite a pretty stadium if they do some work on him....i'm no architect but i'll put my ideas of what can be done to Bloomfield...

Erik i'll use some of ur pictures for reference..

    1) ok first i would close the stadium, cause i dont like stadiums were u can see his lets say ribs...or internal infrastructure...also change that roof cause for me its pretty old...put some new, shinny, with class...and make it start from the pylons of the lights, get some new modern lights for the stadium and a NEW VERY NEEDY screen

something kinda like emirates stadium on the outside, bloomfield is small so it wont cost too much..

    Re: Ligat Ha'al 2008-2009

    2) i would put back the trasmition cabins cause right now these ones look like they are on top of the crowd flying over their heads, take some space that can upgrade the stadium capacity and take those things that are holding it that block the view of the fans, and add like 2 more cabins, after all this is the only UEFA approved stadium we got..

something like this, the cabins in the final area of the stands and in the back, not on top of the people heads...

    Re: Ligat Ha'al 2008-2009

    3) make more stands behind the goal area and in that middle part were is an empty space, make the stands all the same size..that would upgrade the capacity of Bloomfield to 20,000 easily

    Re: Ligat Ha'al 2008-2009

    4) and finally make that area marked in red that is like a garage or something another park and upgrade the one already build...made some underground parking lot like they plan to do on Nokia Arena...if they make some changes Bloomfield would turn into the crappy thing we have right now to a first class stadium..!!

    5) the roof could be like this one...and if Tel Aviv Muni is in a good day why not put 2 roof on the 2 main stands..

ok ok i know i got a little carried out by the stadium thingies...but that is one of my passions football stadiums...guys what do u think about Ramat Gan's winter stadium...even its kinda nice...i think it should be destroyed...why u ask?? cause it haves no future...the stadium is between the zoo and a road..would be better to give that land to the zoo so they can expand it...

anyways a few pics of winter stadim..

the location for u who dont speak hebrew is were the purple logo is..

Yes, but with the accentuation on "smaller" :)

I booked my flights before the friendly was announced. And to go again makes no sense :) But I know that (at least) 24 BMG-supporters will travel to Israel on Saturday.

Isaac, I think you should be the Sport minister, you have some good ideas, but in order to do so, we need to improve our attendance.
Don't worry, Israel could host the UEFA youth competition in 2011, actually they deciding tight now between Israel or Denmark...
Stadiums that are already approved by UEFA are Ramat Gan, Bloomfield, Teddy and Kiryat Eliezer. In August Netanya stadium is going to be ready, and it was build by the UEFA conditions, so you can add it also to the list...

    Re: Ligat Ha'al 2008-2009

thanks FCMN, by looking at the infrastructure another stadium that be turned into a first class stadium is the one in Kfar Saba, with some modifications it would be cool as hell...anyways to improve the attendence we need to FIRST improve the stadiums...make the stadiums friendly for families...cause right now most are really gross...specially the bathrooms...make some shows in the stadium so people will come like giving free shirts to certain numbers of the tickets and so on...

right now these are the stadiums planned to be build or upgraded...
    new ramat gan 60,000
    ayalon stadium 60,000 (if true..)
teddy stadium 40,000 (when they finish it)
    beer sheva stadium 32,000
    petach tikva stadium 32,000
    haifa stadium 30,000
    netanya stadium 24,000

and i'll put pics on these ones cause i bet most of u haven't seen them

akko stadium 10,000 (this one looks ok, but i would do some changes, like for example making it 1 big stand insted of 3 little stands that are apart from each other, and that the roof would cover the WHOLE huge stand)

kiryat ata stadium 10,000 (this one is my favorite all new stadiums in Israel should be like this..!)

ashdod stadium 8,000 (total waste of money should be at least for 20,000 so ashdod could play european cups in the home ground, we know they are always close of reaching one)

Unfortunately, Israel missed out on its bid to host the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championships. They will instead be held in Denmark.

Huh? Why/how would Ashdod ever host a European Cup semi final or Euro competition? Having a stadium of 8,000 seats doesn't disqualify them from European competitions, just from hosting big European competitions.

Who cares about Ashdod? They won't play in UEFA and they don't have enough supporters.

I heard they're starting to build the new Haifa stadium. I don't know if that's true but it will be the nicest stadium in Israel. I haven't heard of all the other ones (except for teddy and netanya), that's a lot of construction undertaken at once so I'm skeptical about it. But anyways a comprehensive reconstruction of all the major stadiums in the country has been way overdue, which is why I'd be surprised if they actually do it.

Maccabi Netanya vs Bnei Sakhnin 1-1

I hate the Israeli referees!! He gave Sakhnin a penalty in the 81 minutes for nothing. Sakhnin player (who played in Netanya last year afer Mattheus kicked him out) dived in our box.
The ref-mafia is totally against Netanya, they marked us because Mattheus say the truth about them.

Good result for Haifa but I still feel kinda bad for Matthaus and Netanya though, i think the IFA doesn't want them to win.

Nevertheless, we're gonna enjoy Sunday night ... don't we? ;)

Of course there's always mistakes, but when it's effecting the results it's frustrating.

Thank god Hapoel ended up 1-1 with Kiryat Shmona, the irony is that Hapoel also got penalty against in the 89 minute.
Beitar is back to win, Maccabi Tel-Aviv finished 0-0 again (5 games with no win) and FC Ashdod crushed H. Petach Tikva.

The results of the 14 round:

Maccabi Netanya vs Bnei Sakhnin 1-1
Hapoel Tel-Aviv vs Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona 1-1
    Maccabi Petach-Tikva vs Maccabi Tel-Aviv 0-0
Beitar Jerusalem vs Hakoah Amidar Ramat Gan 3-0
FC Ashdod vs Hapoel Petach-Tikva 4-1

The standing after the 14 round:

    Team, Round, Points

    1 Maccabi Haifa FC --- 13 --- 28
    2 Maccabi Netanya FC --- 14 --- 27
    3 Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC --- 14 --- 22
    4 Beitar Jerusalem FC --- 14 --- 20
    5 FC Ashdod --- 14 --- 20
    6 Maccabi Petach-Tikva --- 14 --- 19
    7 Hapoel Petach-Tikva --- 14 --- 18
    8 Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC --- 14 --- 15
