Im not sure what to think, but I feel optimistic nonetheless. Yet another opportunity for us to break free from the psychological rut we have been in, especially in the Champions League, with yet another new guy in charge.

If we get out of the first knockout round, that in itself will make my season (I also feel that as soon as we do that, we may go on a legit run in that competition from the momentum/good feeling that will be associated with that achievement). I wish him all the best. And I hope we reinforce our squad well over the winter, and of course in the summer as well.

this has gone down well for me IMHO. He was fantastic at seville and remember, when we won the leage against barce on head to head rules two years ago...that same day, Sevilla could of won the title depending on results. He had came a long way and built a solid team, solid defence (Well organised and leaked very few silly goals) and not only the defence defended, but the team defended as a whole when we didnt have the ball.

We have tried schusters tactics, they paid off first season but soured in the second. Now we must see what tactics ramos plays. He won the uefa cup twice (i think) and the CDR and nearly won the title in the short space of time he was at sevilla.

This guy has nearly 20 years experience in football, so he knows what to he is doing.

Plus, he will know how to get the best out of S.Ramos which is a good thing

Pedja said he has complete control. I guess he will liase with pedja, pedja will go to calderon and then calderon will whip the cheque book out. Wouldnt expect to many in January. Like Calderon said, we now need a winger. I would like a loan player to play in Diarra position, i do not trust Javi one bit

Looks interesting. Im really excited about this change! I think Juande is cracking jokes to try and up the moral a bit. Like someone said, he is talking to the players and not just giving orders

He's already mentioned that he will be doing "psychological work" with the team. From the pictures that amirah and FC provided (thanks for that) it looks like he is trying to boost the morale and also form a sort of jovial relationship with the players. A lot of the pictures show him individually talking/joking with players e.g iker, pipita etc. Something bernd didn't do that well. So, he's already brought a change. :)

I wish the man well. History says that every time this happens...nevermind.

    Good luck Juande.

Im not against the signing of Juande as Manager, but the continual sacking of coaches just proves we are a circus.

I'm curious why this has come up as a remark more than once in this thread. Juande Ramos didn't spend that much time in Sevilla when Sergio Ramos played. He transferred here in the 05 season, the same time Juande Ramos took charge of Sevilla.

What's done is done as far as the coach goes and I'm going to sit tight and see what happens.

^^^^Along those lines, someone mentioned he'll be good with the canteranos--what's the basis for that out of curiosity? Is that something he did in Sevilla?

Something I am happy about too.

I didnt like our players saying, "Well, Schuster talks when he has too". Its good to see a manager talking to his players with a smile on their face, cheering them up. The training atmosphere from the pics posted looks positive.

Schuster had my support, but now that he's gone, I am all for backing Juande Ramos and I hope he does well. For schuster had thrown in the towel, I believe this was done now and not after the christmas break as a desperate attempt to keep the season alive. I think the management believed the season will be over by christmas break with schuster. Changing the manager in january would have been more like beginning to prepare for the next season. So they thought of giving it a final shot. Not sure if the change would help. I m going to wait and see. However, If Ramos can pull out a draw at Nou Camp and 3 points against Valencia, it will be a huge positive.

P.S. what we desperately need is Barca to drop points at Villareal.

Yes, Monchi had assembled a good assortment of talent in the youth system of Sevilla. He used it well.

If he can get them all playing together to their potential, then he's done his job.

So when Real said a week ago or so that they would sign 2 players and we were wondering how would they since the transfer windows wasn't even open....they were actually speaking of 1 Player (Huntelaar) and a coach (Ramos)

I know this is Real Madrid and this team is different than other teams around the world but this head coach shuffle that has been going on for around 8 years is not helping the team at all. Who would want to come to our team if the team is always in turmoil? I believe that is a primary reason many star players don't consider us as their 1st option when they decide to move to a 1st class team. We need stability at the top management level, from President down to head coach.

I did not think we could find anyone with a better record in this time of the year. At least, he had plenty of experienses and won two UEFA Cup's. I really thought that Schuster's replacement will be someone liked Julen Lopetegui or a recent retired player.

Did Milan make an opinion solely based on Ronaldinho's last five games at Barcelona when they bought him?
