If he doesn't i still won't blame him. I will start judging him after January.
I'd like to see what Juande thinks of Huntelaar. I know he likes strong target men. I'd also like to see how he will use Higuain.

Shouldn't someone open a welcome Juande thread?

I hope Schuster doesn't degrade us in any interviews :(

I will worship Ramos even if we manage a draw this weekend.

A Arsenal fan talking about another manager when his clubs manager has not won them anything in 5 years? Classic!

    Since 2004
    Ramos: 7
    Wenger: 0

I'm glad you are happy with a manager that can offer you a Champions League spot at best. Good luck.

I'm firmly with you on this one. I remember that game very well. Valencia did play really well. People seem to forget that Aimar flourished under Benitez. That said, I'm not a big fan of his work as a GM.

As for Ramos, the big positive is that he's a tactical coach; according to all reports Schuster was a libertarian (players said he didn't talk to them a lot). IMO we could benefit from his approach, since we've been suffering of poor decision-making in the final third by our young, unexperienced players, which led to us not killing games in which we were dominating.

IF a manager like Ramos that can throphies gets fired in two months then Wenger would not last two weeks here.

What is the point of playing nice football if all you can achieve is a 3rd-4th spot every season?

^^ This post above mine is a testament to how unstable this lad is. Soon Pedja will be fired and he'll say the same about the new SD like he hasn't called for his resignation before hand like he has Schuster.

Anyways, what a shocker. Especially for me who hasn't been around since last week. I guess we should of just fired him at Valladolid, however the tactics behind this isn't too bad. This takes the pressure off of new comer Juande to win El Clasico, and gives the players a little bit of an excuse.

The problem with Madrid, I'll say again is more the fans and their unreachable standards than the management. We've had what 15 coaches in 16 years (I think?) why is that? The constant besides a player or two is the unbearable pressure, the unreachable standards and those who want to start rebellion against the president (at any time for anything just to have power).

How can success be sustained in this atmosphere?

Capable? Yes, just like Liverpool currently is "capable" wouldn't you say? However is that a main stay?

I don't like how he rotates too much, his style doesn't appeal to me, and like 4x4s said it'd be like us getting a poor man's Capello.

All this means nothing compared in terms of his transfer policy. IMO, he is second to worst of all big club managers, only in front of Wenger. He seems to have a policy of buying A LOT of players who are mediocre to fit his system and this trend is not only costly but doesn't seem to work.

Having him battle who ever is President, SD and the board for the next year regarding transfers till he's fired the season after(we all know coaches aren't allowed a second full year) is not what I want for our CL final hosting year.

He must have scarred you pretty bad. You must have saved that link and waited quietly and patiently, for your oh so sweet revenge.

    ROFL

Yeah, yeah... but I'm the one who keeps you posting here. Admit it. ;)

What would you have done? Would you have fired him? Who would you have put in charge?

I'm new. But i've been reading some posts. Please tell me. Does he criticize this club most of the time?

We have hired the priest from The Exorcist!

I have mixed feelings about this. I like Juande Ramos and think he is an absolutely brilliant coach. I'm willing to overlook that disaster of a second season he had with Tottenham, mostly because they are Tottenham and there were extenuating circumstances (losing Berbatov and Keane, communication problems, crappy English players refusing to buy into a new way of doing things). He is a winner, and does excel at guiding teams through cup competitions (hopefully this pays off in the CL).

I think it needs to be said, that as the greatest club in the world we cannot go on like this... we can't just sack a coach every time we hit a rough patch. After winning the league with a spectacular comeback, Capello more than earned the right to stay on for another season. Schuster, who set records with a +48 goal difference and 85 points, deserved to be kept on until the end of the season. That said, his attitude is a bit perplexing, this is a man who was more combustible than Guti as a player and he has retained some of those qualities as a manager. I don't really blame Schuster for the team's performance, the Sevilla game showed that the boys are still willing to fight against the odds and I don't know of a single team that would be functioning at a high level if they had to cope with the injuries we've had.

First, since that day, Schuster has been committing slow and juicy hara-kiri, which kind of brings his stock down. I still think he's a good coach, he's just an insufferable human being.

Second, your post said that Real Madrid should hire, and I quote you, a "world-class coach." Then ZZR923 said (because all things come in twos) that Ramos is a noticeably better coach than Schuster, and implied that he was "world class" by mentioning him in the same sentence as Wenger and Scolari. Ramos is not at that stage, and I don't think I've said any differently today. I have a soft spot for him because he coached Malaga (which doesn't make him better, BTW), and he's a capable and available coach with his pros and cons.

If you see a contradiction there, and big enough to talk about my "complete lack of knowledge," then I posit that you are trying too hard. Some day you'll get it just right, don't despair.
