Wilson & Robson on the left wing?

I'd prefer Naka in the centre and McGeady & Maloney on both wings.

Btw: Enjoy the game at Celtic Park, Fraser & Cameron! Do you meet each other?

Shame that Celtic & Juve are always playing at the same night! :( 2 top games for me this time ... so I'll have to follow 2 livestreams.

Wow, what a good half-time result and what a great goal from McDonald! :)

Let's hope we can continue this great fight & tactical discipline after the interval (although I doubt that our defence will be able to keep a clean sheet).

When I saw that Naka & McGeady don't play, I thought that Strachan got crazy ... but he's done everything right so far.

I hope that Rooney will stay on the bench the whole 90 minutes.

PS: Damn, it's so hard to concentrate on 2 livestreams at the same time (zapping every 15th second:).

Despite the late equalizer (what a terrible mistake by Artur Boruc), we can be very content with the result ... since they totally dominated us after the interval (we played too defensively - how often did we leave the own half? - and were technically limited) and had a huge scoring opportunity in the last second of injury time (thankfully, Berbatov failed miserably). Don't understand why Strachan didn't bring Nakamura or at least McGeady in the second half in order to get some technical quality (having only Maloney, isn't enough) and keep the ball longer than just 5 seconds...

Well, you could see a class difference between both teams when they started to create real pressure after the interval ... but we fighted like lions, so the draw is a great achievement (even though we could possibly have won without Artur's mistake) in my eyes!

Thankfully, Aalborg didn't win their home match either ... so we're still ahead of them and can go for a draw, whereas they have to beat us.

it was up the other end of the ground from my seat but i thought the ball took a lot of swerve and Boruc did the best he could. i can't begrudge Utd a goal but i thought our defensive effort was outstanding. and lets not forget why we had such a defensive effort.

    Samaras
    Hesselink
    McGeady
    Crosas and arguably
    Nakamura

all out through injury. that's hard for a club such as ourselves to deal with against a team like Man Utd.

still, it was a great effort and what a sublime finish from Skippy. we still have a chance.

a very naughty kick by Ronaldo in the second half on Broony about 10yds from the linesman that went completely unpunished.

Anyone else and it would have probably effected the game, or can't I say that?! :D

We done so well, proud moment for the bhoys I literally thought we were going to get this result over them again and show that it's not just about money but everything else as well. Sadly, there was a BIG swerve on the ball and boruc couldnt grab it so the best thing was to get it away. Though one thing I will say, I wish he put it over the bar rather than back into play but again boruc looked like he had to change his shape mid air.

Good result none the less! Let's whoop Villa next!

Oops, that must be how much I rate them I forgot about them

Yeah okay okay, Aalborg first - let's tuck in! Just like we did in the first half at Man U but for the full 90 mins and we will come away with a win.

I don't think so. The distance was almost 30 meters, so Artur should have been able to find a better solution than parrying the ball directly to Giggs' head.

Let's see a clip with the scene ... and you'll agree with me! ;)

Naka and McGeady were injured as well? Didn't know that...

Somehow, I didn't notice that scene. Maybe I had just switched to the "Real vs Juve" stream when it happened...

Btw: Is it true that the ManU supporters chanted "******** the Pope"? How did the Celtic fans react? Maybe with "******** the Queen"? :D

PS: The CL anthem alone is worth qualifying for this competition, isn't it? :)

it's hard to get CL clips from youtube but i'll try. :) if any blame was to be given out then i'd suggest our defenders could have tried to close Ronaldo down a little quicker.

Naka was on the bench but wasn't anywhere near 100%. so much so that he wasn't fit enough to partake in any part of the game. Aiden has a claf muscle strain and will be out for around 10 days.

    it is true.

we'd never reply to that as it's overtly sectarian and would lead to consequences as UEFA have already shown against Rangers for example. one wonders if any action will be taken against Manchester Utd after such a gesture.

It would be inconsequent in my eyes if UEFA won't take any action.

Btw: What a shame to see a Hoops fan once again entering the pitch last night (I must have missed that scene, though). How could that happen? I fear we'll get a serious fine now...

Have a nice Friday evening (I'm off to "Finnegan's" now).

Yeah I saw that on the TV!

I was watching the Man U fans singing and I could read on their lips, I think they were saying: ''We have won it three times, we have won it three times.''

Then I saw our banner and I was laughing so much, because it is itself the best answer to that song lol!

''We have won it three times!!''

''Yeah, but we won it first.''

Doesn't matter how many times, we still got there first and that sticks!

    LOL - Good times.

Really need to get rid of that stupid CL anthem. As far as the match against Alborg is concerned i don't expect a postive result with all the injuries and the fact they can actually score in the CL and we have 1 goal through 4 matches. Numbers don't lie they have 16 goals in 8 matches and we have 1 in four matches. Thats hardly a vote of confidence. Plus they are a hard side to beat at home and we have one of the worse Europeon away record that I am currently aware of.

matchday 5 is coming up this week and it's make or break time. Villarreal got whipped at home by Valladolid. a surprising result considering Valladolid hadn't won away from home in La Liga and had only scored 1 goal in 5 previous attempts while conceding 12.

if Valladolid can do that then it must put doubts in their mind what Manchester Utd could be capable of doing.

Aalborg have only won 1 in their last 8 league matches at home. their record in those 8 games is -

    1W 3D 4L

we'll never have a better time for getting rid of this monkey off our back and also setting up a grandstand finish in the final game at home to Villarreal.

But they reached a home draw against Villareal, whereas we never won a CL away game...

Of course I'm hoping for the first away win, but I'd be content with a draw as well (knowing about the difficult task). Important is that we don't lose the match...

Which players will have to miss tomorrow's game?
