Well my father, the devil, kept nipping in my ear about going, so I guess me and machque are in.

I'm throwing the finances out the door to do it, but hey, it's, Columbus 'til I Die, not Columbus 'til I run out of money ain't it.

Just got a couple tickets off of Ticketbastard because Kevin and the Crew FO are sold out, hopefully they are lax about getting in the section with other Crew fans when we get there.

 

okay, so anyone willing to give me a place to stay saturday and sunday night? i can't throw in much money, a floor is fine!

 

Well, it seems the United States Air Force can do without me for a weekend in compensation for sending me to Puerto Rico on the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving and keeping me out of town over the holiday. Then I pretty much called out Mrs. HardHat on 1460 the Fan this afternoon about not being sure if the wife would give me the money to go, so she said yes after much haranguing from the radio guys (who said they had a great time last night, btw) . I'm gonna use her frequent flier miles on Northwest to get out there it looks like. So HHM is going Hollywood!

After sharing a queen bed with Walt at last year's cup, I'll pay the little bit extra to only share a room with one other person. I'm gonna book at the Doubletree as well, so anyone wanna half a room with me*?


*Terms of cohabitation include arriving in Carson on Friday and leaving on Monday. Also, good hygiene is a requirement as well. Fair warning: I snore like a mofo.

Somebody laughed at me yesterday because I didn't know to fly into Long Beach instead of LAX. He said the main difference is a 15 minute checkin vs. a two hour checkin.

And LAX is 20 minutes to the Doubletree, but Long Beach is only ten.

Why doesn't anybody tell me this stuff?

well looks like ThreeC and Lady ThreeC are in. got the flight booked, just got to find a place to stay (we do not want to stay in Carson).

and i believe at least one more member of the cowbell elite is coming as well.

 

I am in. The flight is booked and my brother has points for the Courtyard Los Angeles Torrance/South Bay.

 

Your mother always says I’m a bad influence on you. Now if I can get you to drink decent beer instead of the light s**t my work will be complete.

 

Okay, I'm set. Did it all (flight, rental car, hotel) for under $400. Unfortunately Mrs. Hard Hat bought the cheapest flight and didn't look to see that it was the monday morning redeye back east. So I leave LA at 12:25AM on monday morning. Oh well. I guess I'll have to cut the celebration a little short.

Fly out at noon on Saturday, get to LA at 7pm after stops in Detroit and Minneapolis.

Staying only one night at the Doubletree Carson.

Fly back out from LAX on Monday morning at 12:25 and get back to Columbus at 4:25PM.

 

Just booked trip Leave Sat 645am from columbus and getting into LA at 1130 with one stop in Dallas. Staying at double tree with kevin

Leaving LA 600am and getting back into ohio about 5pm with one stop in dallas...

I am trying to get out there. I'd be staying at a friend's place in Redondo Beach, but of course it all matters if they're at home that weekend, but things seem likely.

I'll try to get the Columbus flag out there for it's first trip past the Mississippi River, but no guarantees.

Fly from Columbus to LAX on Friday, with a pit stop in Chicago to piss on the F*re. Flight home not yet fully determined, but it seems like I might be going through Dallas-Fort Worth.

 

In the event one cannot get supporters' section tix through the Crew or Kevin, what IS the section? I'd like to at least get close.

Got a flight for 2 out of PIT to John Wayne via MSP on Saturday morning. Back via SLC and ATL into PIT by 9:30am Monday. For $200 apiece. Not bad. Wish I had miles, though. Used 'em all up, almost.
