in a cold saturday santos destroyed criciuma in vila...
in 1:15 santos scored with willian, and when santos was celebrating criciuma kicked off and from almost the half line criciuma scored...
after that willian scored 2 goals... finally the number 9 is back!!! renato in a great form scored 2 goals... all of this before de 23 minutes of the first half... criciuma scored another goal, but the game stayed like that...

cruzeiro won, and we are still tied with 58 points in the first place...

wow, next game will be a silly game... cruzeiro against santos in mineirão!!!! a 6 points game!

The santos' 2003 goals video will be online in www.santosfc.com.br, in the multimedia section tomorrow(15/09)... in a near future they will put 2002 goals and celebrations, and they have been asked for many people to put historic goals and moments from santos, like the goals from the 2 world championships (62,63), and many other goals....

    Onde é Paulo Almeida?

He's not in the starting lineup today, and I haven't seen him in the lineup recently. Please don't tell me he was sold to another team.

I'm ashamed to admit, but I should agree that Santos was harmed by the referee acting on Saturday's game - and most important, lost the game based on it. Fabiano sure doesn't deserve the red card, since he hardly hit Wendell with his elbow.

I use to complain when referees in general prejudice Cruzeiro in favor of clubs from Rio-SP axe (mostly), so I must be coherent and face that sometimes ourselves are benefited by bad arbitrage.

Santos had a problem right before the match, diego felt some kind of pain in his leg and he could not play.... So jerry came in, the game was kind tied, both teams had good chances... Andre Luis made a penalty in Wendell, and Aristizabal scored!!!!
After that the 2 teams were equal in the match... so then the 1st half ended... Leão put Fabiano and Willian, in Nenem and Jerry's places... Santos was much better in the second half, our goal was just question of time.... but then Fabiano got ejected by Hebert Roberto Lopes (you m0th3r F%$#%*), so the game was over!!!

I agree with you Lex Bouvier... I think this game could be different if the referre didn't ejected Fabiano, but that's soccer! We still are in the battle!!!!

If Santos are to win the Championship and Cruzerio were to come in second place. I think Santos will need to win a game against Cruzerio this yr by a fair margin to deservedly win the championship. They have to win the important matches to show, who is the dominant team of Brazil.

hmm will Robinho ever score a goal other then a penalty this yr??????so many chances, but wasted opportunities! But i think his form has improved slightly, and showing some glimpses of last yr!

in last year's championship people said that wasn't fair 'cause the champion wasn't necessary the best team, because a team which arrived in 8th could be the champion, and that's what happened whith santos!

Everybody said that the perfect championship would have the same format that this year, who arrives in first is the champion!!

Now u r saying that even u arriving in first u can't loose the 2 games to the same team to deserve to be the champion??!

I don't care for deserving! in 1995 santos deserved to be the championship, but we didn't, and we didn't get anything in deserving....

about robinho, he's not a striker, and he is not the scorer kind of player...
remembering in the final against corinthians he scored a goal! it was a penalty goal! what he has to do is play seriously and play for the team and not for himself....

You have to win as many matches as you can.

That's all. That's why the league system is the simplest, and arguably best way of determining the champion.

Santos didn't have Diego today. Is that "fair"? Cruzeiro lost crucial points while Alex was with the national team for the Confed Cup, is that fair? Over the course of the tournament, the best team is the one that earns most points. Not the one who has a hot streak at the right time.

I just believe that if Santos win the championship, with the new format most wins, pts etc..Santos deservedly won the championship,(especialy knowing how last yr they came from 7th-8th to win the championship through a good patch of form at the end of the yr) but i think Santos need to prove to themselves and to other ppl they are a better team then cruzerio..who have had the wood on Santos this yr. Sure Santos had bad ref calls, but they need to overcome them situations and instead place goals in the net against the top team at the moment.there will no greater victory then to beat cruzerio .if they do this will only boost santos mentality to a new level..and will only make them more confident in theselves! My opinion, as with many others.

of course if santos had won against cruzeiro it would be great to prove the best team... but santos don't have to prove anything... everybody already knows that... even luxemburgo after the game said that cruzeiro won against the best the in brazil!!!

Well Santos really lost the pace after the lost against cruzeiro... after that we tied in a awful game against juventude (1x1), and today Inter outplayed us and they won 1 x0...

I'm really not understanding Leão!! he is making some idiots substitutions!! I starting to get pissed off!!

Hey, still 13 games to go, I still think they can win. 13 games = 39 points, the difference right now is only 8 (assuming Cruzeiro win tomorrow).

13 games is almost half a season in Europe.

sure, I didn't said that is over...
I just said that santos lost the pace... maybe cruzeiro start losing their pace soon too... just to remember santos in this championship have stayed 9 points behind cruzeiro before passing them for 2 points....

    I'm so jealous!!!

I wanted to go to Morumbi when I was in Brasil, but I didn't get the chance. Plus Sao Paulo is sooo huge that I probably would have gotten lost trying to find it.
