Steve Ralston's leg is still broken and Taylor Twellman's got a permanent headache.

    What could be better?

    Nicol and Mariner getting married.

Shalrie Joseph qutting the team after Jeff Larentowicz's incessant racist jokes about Obama

Joey Franchino standing in Section 8 - tossing beer bottles at Matt Reis during the home leg next week.

The Ghanains being suspended by FIFA for falsifying their ages during the past Youth World Cup

Matt Reis going missing after the loss in Chicago, then showing up on the news for drunkely assaulting a couple of Illinois State Troopers by kicking one of them in the ass the screaming "I'm a child molesting cop killer" and then getting beat down on tape.

Taylor Twellman being traded to the St. Louis franchise that has yet to be awarded.

The Fort being stormed by the Mohegans from Foxwoods and scalping everyone one of their fans, except for the women of course...

They rape the shit out of them

    How's my spoken word essay?

Well, technically, it looks on paper like we should be able to get out of Bean town with a solid victory. However, this year's team has done a nice job of being kind to those who are down on their luck and so we drop our level of play to be nice to them. Let's hope the guys have their playoff faces on for BOTH games and don't take their foot off the peddle to coast a little bit. Also, let's hope they don't come out overconfident and allow some unknown player blow their playoff hopes out of the water.

    Twellman out indefinitely
New England Revolution forward Taylor Twellman is out indefinitely due to "concussion-related symptoms," according to a Revolution press release.

Twellman was punched in the head by Los Angeles Galaxy goalkeeper Steve Cronin on Aug. 30 while heading in a goal. He missed the Revolutions' Champions League game on Sept. 2 but played in the team's next game on Sept. 6.

"Taylor has been experiencing some on-going issues related to concussions he suffered against LA," said Revolution VP of Player Personnel Michael Burns. "Concussions, especially repeated concussions, are very dangerous and the most thing for Taylor and his future -- both off the field and on -- is to get the rest he needs so he can return to normal as quickly as possible."

Fire fans will remember that it was Twellman who scored the winning goal against the Fire in last year's Eastern Conference final.

Twellman is the second Revolution star to be ruled out of the Revs' upcoming playoff series against the Fire. Revs midfielder Steve Ralston is currently recovering from a broken right fibula he suffered on Oct. 11.

So not only is Twellman out, they'll be missing Ralston (broken leg), Khano Smith (Red card, his could be increased to two game) Gabriel Badilla (Red card) and also Adam Cristman is out.

That's half of there starting lineup, if we don't beat the crap out of them there and TOYOTA Park, we don't deserve making the second round.

Have they started there well we don't have Twellman, Ralston, Cristman, Smith and Badilla crying (If not it's will start after Thursday night once we beat the shit out of them).

My main worry is that Conde will have another off-week and the defense is going to let some seemingly harmless attacks turn into goals against. Without Twellman and Ralston, they don't really seem to have anyone to exploit defensive mistakes, but you never know (we let Toronto score 3 ). The revs have to be thinking of themselves as underdogs now, and may come out playing like they have nothing to lose.

If the Fire takes them seriously, prepares well for the game, and plays well defensively, we should be good to go. I just hope that happens.

If we can't win both legs against this battered NE team, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs, period.

I can honestly say that this is the first time I've ever wished I was Steve Cronin.

I'd actually rather see NE at full strength. Advancing against a weakened team doesn't have the same cache.

I'll take what I can get. If this means completely destroying a team in peril so be it. I want to absolutely kill these **********s.

Screw that. Injuries and suspensions are part of the game. If they don't have a lick of depth, that's their own damn fault. We didn't say that their victory last year was hollow when we were missing both Mapp and Guerrero.

I agree. Just the simple fact that the person across the field is wearing a ******s Jersey is enough for me to want blood. I don't care if Steve Nicol had to suit up to field enough players.

And break off the 'handles' to put on new ones. Lovingly crafted from the fragmented crania of Rev...sorry. Those are ugly handles, though.

Considering everything that's overwhelmingly in our favor (injuries to suspensions) I want us first and foremost to play 'smart'.

-No silly tackles/time wasting/talking back to the man in the middle.
-Attack attack attack from the first whistle ad nauseum.

Let's bury them in the first game without a chance of coming back in game 2. It's ripe for the taking but I'm still nervous...
