So, do we want to beat them 3 games in a row, or do we want to beat them, then deal with Houston?

Beat them 3 games in a row. I bet slightly more people can make it to Columbus than Houston and it would be nice to say we beat the Supporter's Shield holders on the way to MLS Cup. That being said I am not placing large sums of money on the game on Sunday, just all my hopes and dreams.

 

All my hopes and dreams are worth about a nickel right now.

With a win we obviously leap frog the pink cows with 40 pts. KC wins they take the top wild card spot with 42 and we get the second. At first glace the RSL vs Colorado game looked like it might have some implications but no matter what the winner of that game takes the 3rd guaranteed spot in the west and the loser has less than 40 pts so were good. So correct me if im wrong but it looks like as long as we win were in.

 

Hmm... now, not to count my chickens before they've hatched, but what's the playoff schedule like? How many quarter/semi/whatever-final games are played to determine the last two teams to compete?

 

IF we make the playoffs - fingers very crossed for that - we'll get only one home game, and that will be the first leg of the first round against either Columbus or Houston. That game would be held next Saturday night, either at 5 or 7:30.

 

Western Conference Trophy? Is there such an animal? I don't recall any Eastern Conference Trophies..............

 

Does anyone know if Finn Macs will be showing the game this Sunday?

If they do, I plan to relax my marathon-weary legs by abusing my liver...any others running the MCM Sunday morning?

Are these in out trophy case and trophy count? Nice picture in the article...thanx!

 

Usually when I've seen a trophy count, it's been of "Major" championships -- so including MLS Cup, but not including a conference champions.

But there are many more trophies than just the 12 "majors" in the trophy case at the DCU offices. Check it out sometime. There's one there I'd never heard of until I saw it in the case; and it's the most impressive-looking trophy of the bunch.

 

So here's to Jaime Moreno subbing in at the 60 minute, getting his 100th assist with a beautiful through ball to 'Tino who finds the back of the net to complete his hat trick to celebrate his 1 yr of being clean! THAT would make me forget about the last 4 months. We're due some good karma........is it bad karma to say your due good karma? Will it bring back the good karma if you say it was bad karma to say you were due the good karma? My karma ran over my dogma. Is that good or bad?!?!? Me thinks it's Grolsch time!
