To be fair to them, it was over-the-counter supplements from GNC. But in this day and age, professional athletes have to be aware of every ingredient in everything they ingest, because there are plenty of supplements that are legal to purchase and use, but are banned in pro sports.
All part of the league's pro-Galaxy conspiracy plot. Next we'll see KC have players banned for violating the little known excessive use of hair care products clause. EDIT: Didn't you know that's why Tudela and Wicks go with the natural 'fro look?
Thanks for making it simple, the closest I got to figuring out everything was looking at the standings and remaining schedule and saying "WTF?". My effort was feeble knowing the likelihood of getting to the playoffs.
Yeah, I did a bit more research. So i guess it isn't even like McGwire being injected in the ass with technically over the counter steroids. These guys basically just took expensive vitamins without reading the label. Sounds like just a dumb, careless mistake. But you can't really assume anything in this day and age- "the steriods era"- they quite possibly could have known exactly what they were doing...
Guys.. I really hate to be this guy. But here goes. We really have no buisness in the playoff's. And to be honest I fear making them this season. The ownership of this team by its own actions or inactions have done everything in their power to ensure that we have a snowballs chance in hell of making the playoffs. Getting in the playoffs would be like co-signing their ignorance over the last few years. Getting to the playoffs would give the owners validation in spending a amazing amount of money on offense and neglecting highly the defensive side of the game. I mean, this is just an idea I had while readin all this. Ofcourse if we made it I would be there cheering on the boys, but the last thing I want to see is an excuse for this team's ownership to fail to make the off season changes needed to put this team on the map again. /rant -jethro
I hear what you're saying and certainly see your point, but I think that's the good thing about having Arena. He's going to do what he wants over the next 18 months+ regardless of what happens with the playoffs. I'm sure that's part of the deal he signed when Lieweke was kissing his butt in the media. And that probably includes some sort Arena hallmark defensively minded strategy or presence on the pitch. So that's the good thing. The bad thing is were going to have Arena doing his thing for 18 months+.
DC just earned three points against NE. Their final game is an away game against Columbus. Columbus will want to finish the season strong. I don't think DC will be able to pull off a win. If they tie and we win both Dallas and Houston games, would we get the playoff spot in a tiebreaker?
Since AEG owns both the galaxy an the dynamo, would it be farfetched to say that AEG could fix the match so the galaxy blow them out by 5 goals for the points an goal differentials..??
We'll get into the playoffs under Leiwickie on the same day Satan overcomes a sudden bout of hypothermia to cross the frozen River Styx on ice skates to gain his revenge over the world.
Not that I am a conspiracy theorist or anything of that sort, but with the recent suspensions of Conway & Parke, doesn't anybody question the timing of the suspension by MLS? They know they want to get LA into somehow/someway into the playoffs and NYRB and LAG are all in the hunt for the wildcard slot so what better way to help us by screwing them with this announcement. I am just saying
Is this another way of saying that we'll only make the playoffs in a year in which Shitvas wins MLS Cup?
Why would you possibly want this? It it were to ever happen it wouldn't be a legitimate win, and the event would hang over the club for years to come. It wouldn't solve anything either =/.
Before I head over to Burbank to watch the game, I'd like to give a big FU to NE and Chicago for failing to stop DCU and TFC from grabbing 3 points each this weekend. Let's hope Columbus, SJ, Dallas and Chivas play like they want to win. And Houston plays like NE and Chicago....
Hope Becks is enjoying his time in London and his extra long vacation! As I'm typing this I'm looking at a headshot of becks with the saying, "This is Soccer" next to it. Instead of his face, it should be a steaming pile of dog dung!!
Wow - if he had played and we lost it would have been his fault obv b/c obv he "phones it in" and "is overrated" and "messes up our chemistry." If he isn't allowed to play by MLS rules and we lose badly its his fault b/c, ummm, errr.., well,... For the Beckham haters I guess every bad thing that happens to LA is to be blamed on Becks - there doesn't appear to be any need for reasoning behind it.
