Oh and if it's warm enough we might put out a few of our baby pools (but no diving or peeing please!)

I'm not sure if this is going to be "monster" tailgate anymore. Only 17,000 tickets have been sold according to Goff. We had three times the amount of people for the Beckham game (which actually quite sad). People would rather see Beckham than the US

I finished the cookies, but I used a different technique for decorating and I am disappointed with the results. I guess losing my main pair of glasses didn't help with the final result either. I can barely see now.

Yes. That's really disappointing. I was hoping for at least 30K. The weather could help bring out a decent walk up crowd, though.

I never realized there was so much water in DC. Looks like Venice.

I'm not. The tickets are too expensive for a game that's likely to be a blowout. And my seats which are normally $28.00 for DC United games cost $40.00 each today.

Granted, the inflated prices didn't stop me from buying two tickets, but I can't see any reason for USSF to inflate prices by 40%.

BTW, nyrmetros, are you coming to the game?

Yeah, I'm bummed about the 20,000 attendance tonight

However, it was a monster tailgate. We had over 750 people come through for food, and that doesn't even count the SEs and AOs who just showed up for free beer (and there were many). We killed 14 kegs plus a whole ton of cases. I think we served over 1000 people.

I hope anyone who was there had as good a time attending it as we did throwing it.

The setup and coordination was top notch. Screaming Eagles could not have been more gracious hosts to us out-of-towners. That's the way it should be done in every WCQ city. Here are some pics I snapped of the event:

The tailgate was great, but I did feel that the chairs inhibited mingling opportunities amongst the fans.

Which is why I didn't put it on the playlist. It's a great song but a lyrical downer.

Also want to thank everyone involved in putting together the tailgate, the food prep, the dessert makers (kicking good tiramisu), and the folks who worked the kegs. You guys and gals put on a great pre-party, and also helped rock the house during the game. We had a great time!

My son and I enjoyed your tailgate. I especially liked the pulled pork and Dominican Ale. Music was much appreciated also. And, I met a SE who attended the same university as I, U of Oregon. Small world.
