Complete info about the US Supporters tailgate is here (ALL USA supporters are invited).

PLEASE ORDER TAILGATE PASSES IN ADVANCE-This helps us with menu planning (and more importantly keg planning, got to have enough beer for you thirsty bastids! ;))

SE Members can use their 2008 SE ID card to drink for free as usual.
$8 to eat-Advance purchased tix or $10 on game day

    Non SE Members
$8 to eat AND drink-advance purchased tix or $10 on game day

Send payment via paypal to payments@screaming-eagles.com (please put US-Cuba tailgate in subject header as we have other tgates before this game). Indicate how many passes you want in the notes section. Pick up at the SE membership table in lot 8.

BUS GROUP ORGANIZERS- If you can, please place the order for your group all at once and we can hand you the exact number of wristbands (will save you time in line).

Come early and avoid lines (the specialty items come out first and go first).

thanks guys and great job setting this all up!! COME ON YOU YANKS!

  3. For all you AO types around the nation, this tailgate will be our pre-game activity. Please support K and the SEs by singing up early for the tailgate ... you will not be disappointed!

AO will have bandanas if you want to buy one to honor the Cuba Cinco by wearing one during the game. If you're an AO and are interested in lending a hand to us and/or SE, please PM me.

Also, K and the SEs have arranged a night-before party at Momo's Sports Bar ...

    http://screaming-eagles.com/participate/events/usa-cuba-information-for-columbus-day-weekend/

All you AO types, this will be where we party on Friday nite.

This link has lots of information useful to visitors, including tourist, restaurants, public transit, etc., so I highly recommend visiting it.

    C'mon you Yanks!

This is going to be so much fun, there's no way it should be legal.

I love soccer, I love tailgating, and I love America. You combine the three, and it's the greatest day ever.

Screaming Eagles and DC United are completely separate entities. Screaming Eagles is a non-profit organization run by the supporters.

haha true, I guess I wasn't thinking of it that way ;)...

  10. :D

But seriously, folks ... $8, or even $10 on game day, seems like a helluva deal for lunch/dinner (dunch? linner?) and a few beers. If SE makes $1 or $2 on each tailgate sold, God bless 'em!

JUST TO BE CLEAR (as I saw some misinformation on the AO website):

For ALL NON Screaming Eagles it's $8 in advance to eat and drink at the SE tgate ($10 on game day). You will get a wristband that will give you access to both tents (if you only want to drink it's still $8 and $10). We do check IDs for 21+ for alcohol (sorry but it's our asses on the line). Please order tix in advance as instructed above as it REALLY helps with our planning (we'll get food and drink for 1,000 if need be but let us know you're coming). Again bus groups, is you can, please order your passes together and we'll give you the wristbands together (will save you time in line).

SEs can show their club ids to drink for free but need to pay the amt above if they want to eat.

If you have questions, let me know.

Question - What's the process for getting the wristbands on game day if you pay in advance? Will you have them at the tailgate or do we need to go the SE ticket booth to pick them up?

If you order tgate tix in advance, come to the SE membership table in lot 8 to pick them up. Then you turn them in at the buffet table to get a wristband (we count the cards to keep attendance records).

    BUS GROUPS

If you place your group order in the next few days we can Fedex your wristbands to you so know waiting in line (get off the bus and start eating/drinking) But you need to contact us ASAP and paypal the money with the order.

what is the parking situation in Lot 8? Basically, I'm wondering how close we can park to the Screaming Eagles tailgate setup, to avoid having to carry our chairs and other stuff a long distance to join the massiveness that will be this awesome tailgate.

The earlier you get there, the closer you'll be able to park to the tailgate areas.

Well if you come early we have chairs (at one point we had 110 of them this season but with wear and tear we've lost a few).

I encourage everyone to come early. We've tried to rearrange our set up to keep lines moving as quickly as possible but if 400 people all show up at 5 pm you will be waiting in lines.

You can expect quantities of food that would put Zeus to shame. At least 12 kegs of beer, plus the 2 Rumberg Horse-Killing Liquor Kegs of Death. And Lord knows what else (we've heard rumors of mojito jello-shots).

Drinks at 3, food starts at 3:30. 6:00-6:15 starts teardown. The exotic food like the Jamaican beef patties and grilled pizza come out early (the later you come the less selection there is and the longer the lines are).

    The first 8 kegs are:

    Guinness
    Bell's Two-Hearted Ale
    Spaten
    Bell's Best Brown Ale
    Samuel Adams Boston Lager
    Dominion Ale
    Blackthorn Hard Cider
    Bass

(feel free to stay away from the Spaten, stuff tastes like feet! ;))

Oh, and here is a handy map for tgate and tix

I'm not one to complain, but I was born, bred, and raised a Jersey boy...

We need "Springsteen - Born in the USA". Gotta have the Boss.

Neil Diamond's "America" might be good, too. It'll be good for all the Cuban players that defect :D
