Nike also has a new indoor boot that comes out 4/1, along with...
    White/Gold ronaldinho 2
Bolt/Black legend 2, and the "blackouts" and the "whiteouts"
    white/red K-leather laser 2
    Yellow/black LTD laser 2
and, of course, the ugly MVV or 5 (i kinda like the MVV) red/silver/black and red/white/blue
all of those dates from the niketeam sight that was recently posted

Yea all these new cleats coming out in the fall don't really have nothing that great to me. Just new colors. Mostly new indoor shoes. Im wanting to see what nike has coming out for the SL versions of the MV5s supposely called superflys are like.

are the whiteouts the white Legends with black swoosh outline? If so they are not exactly "whiteouts" I'd get those then take whiteout to the outline just to do the shoe name justice.

I have seen them, they are pretty sweet aside from the fact that the colors aren't great. They are supposed to be designed with help from more advanced track shoes for sprinting, they have the carbon outsole but something in the outsole is reenforced with wire. They also are lacking the lacecover that the regular Vapor has. They are a pretty nice shoe but I think they need to come out with a better color way before I would consider them.

Sweeet. When do you think they'll be coming out? They sound pretty good no lace cover. :D Sounds like they will cost a decent amount though haha.

oh, and of course nike would release them in a different colourway, they ALWAYS do that ;)

I saw some catalog info about them...The person who passed along the info was the one who had them in his hands, and usually he is not a Vapor fan at all and he was raving about the quality of the shoe. He said it is an amazing boot.

THe initial colorways will be the same as the Vapor 5 but I am sure more will follow. I wish nike would have decided to make them in tune with the black and neon yellow colors on the upcoming Laser and Legends. A shiny black vapor with a neon yellow swoosh has been a visual dream of mine since you could make Vapors on NikeID back in the day. Being an old Diadora Brasil then Nike Air Rio series user the black and neon yellow hold a dear place in my heart.

The should out at the same time as the 5's which is Feb-March(ish) I think. I am sure you will see them used by the pro ranks earlier than that though. The red and silver in the SL FlyBoy actually isn't that bad and I would guess Ronaldo and Nani will be in those for United in late January, while Robinho will be in the blue for City and if Fat Ronaldo goes City as well he will be in them too along with Zlatan at Inter and any other big name Vapor guys I am missing.

hey jc, i know you said they are like sprinting shoes for track. they wouldn't happen to the "built in arch" would they? by that i mean how with track shoes they are shaped like women's heels without the heel. i hope you get what i'm trying to ask

I think they are going to go for around $280US but I can't remember the exact price point.

I don't think I get the concept you are talking about with the built in arch, unless you mean track shoes for sprinting push you forward onto your toes???

I picked some Ice Vapor 4's today (finally in my proper size) and they are actually really nice boots, I trained in them tonight and after a s slight bit f initial discomfort around the wide part of my forefoot they were perfect. I just need to wear a thicker sock that prevents the friction that the faux leather insole creates.

As for the 5's I saw the catalog again today....The FlyWire technology is the sprint shoe concept they are bringing to the boot (the Fly Boy and the Vapor 5) it is the way the upper is constructed and looks to be designed to act as a second skin even more than the current Tejin fiber.

It is not pushing you forward but it is allowing the boot to be lighter and stronger, it is a threading in the upper. The normal Vapor will be lighter than the current model but have more flex while being stonger. As I said before when we saw the all black test model, the shiny stuff is the return of the touch control coating, so the color contrast is there for a reason, it is the area on the boot that has the coating. This boot does feature a lace cover.

Now on to the FlyBoy....This shoe actually has the potential to be amazing if it lives up to its billing and claims, I will come right out and say it, I am impressed.

Nike actually added new features to the current Vapor concept and even more to the FlyBoy. The upper is a synthetic that looks very light and thin, different than the Vapor's upper, as I said before no lace cover but it does feature the control coating. The outsole is the same concept as the SL but refined. It is designed to be lighter, actually as light as the V 1.06's 190 grams. They did this by hollowing out the studs and running the directly injected plastic in to the hollow center, making them lighter and stronger. They also retuned the carbon fiber, to flex more in the forefoot and be stronger in the arch. No heel counter wrap from the the outsole either. This really could be the next step in a stable and protective super light boot that fits like a second skin. I for one am buying this shoe out of sheer curious desire to see if this really is the next step in boots.

Just on a side note....Anyone that remembers my rant on the SL's and rather heated discussion with one of our other posters will remember I said a key issue lacking in the SL was direct injection of the outsole and the lack of flex in the outsole....maybe Nike listened to our fight. If so....give me a damn job already, I could do the innovation job in my sleep.

They are...along with the black and red these will be the last color of the 4's I think they are a 1/1/09 release. I personally like the black ones better. I am sour they waited this long to release the black model, and they are bagging them for the 5's and FlyBoys a few months after the (best) color comes out.
