They should make the Croats play a couple of home games in Belgrade.......Nice and neutral.

At Croatia's next home match they can have a bucket outside the turnstyles that everyone throws 50p into, to cover the fines from anything they do in the ground.

A points deduction will get attention. UEFA should implement such a measure if Croatia re-offend in the near future.

Its time to move on and forget all this crap.

How many tickets have been sold so far?

I thought it would sell out a few days after the croatia game!

Every time this happens the Cal-Berkeley hippies in the USA forums do about 100 threads debating it.
Its time to move on .
    They got their fine.

Rooney came off injured tonight against AaB Aalborg.
    Hope he's OK.

Wes Brown has missed a few games through injury but came on for a while too.
In the Arsenal game I thought Theo played well apart from his finishing. Porto couldn't deal with his pace and he seems to have improved so much after that Croatia game.

If Rooney isn't able to play, I'd like to see Owen and Heskey up top.

A few of the English Chelsea players are having various problems with injuries but nothing has been reported as serious enough for them to miss out on the next squad.

This is what I think the squad will look like barring injuries -

David James (Portsmouth) Robert Green (West Ham United) Chris Kirkland (Wigan)

Wes Brown (Manchester United) Glen Johnson (Portsmouth) Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United) John Terry (Chelsea) Matthew Upson (West Ham United) Ashley Cole (Chelsea) Nicky Shorey (Aston Villa) Jonathan Woodgate (Tottenham)

Joe Cole (Chelsea) Frank Lampard (Chelsea) Gareth Barry (Aston Villa) Steven Gerrard (Liverpool) Owen Hargreaves (Manchester United) Ashley Young (Aston Villa) Theo Walcott (Arsenal) Shaun Wright-Phillips (Manchester City)

Wayne Rooney (Manchester United) Emile Heskey (Wigan)
Michael Owen (Newcastle United) Jermaine Defoe (Portsmouth)

I've taken out Hart, Richards and Agbonlahor as they are in the U21 squad and I doubt they will be moved up at this time. They are all needed in the U21's and would most probably only be on the bench or even in the stands anyway.

the debatable places in the squad I'll go through -

The keepers pick themselves imo with Hart needed in the U21's.

Nicky Shorey I put in because he is starting games whereas Wayne Bridge is not.
I guess Bridge will be picked by Capello as he has been before but I don't like it. When players who are barely playing for their clubs are in the squad they take time to get up to the level and can struggle and make errors.
There is no way Bridge could have played as badly as he did against Croatia in the 2-3 loss if he had been playing games for his club imo.

    Matthew Upson
is well liked by Capello and with other players needed in the U21 squad (Richards and Wheater) then I don't see a problem with Upson's inclusion. I think Ledley King is an exceptional defender but he gets injured so easily which means he is hard to rely on sadly.

Ashley Young has been excellent for Aston Villa for a long time and really deserves a squad place imo. Stewart Downing is a good player imo but does seem to feel the pressure in an England shirt. I know alot think Downing isn't very good but I've seen him play very well and against the better teams in the Premiership, so he is a good option but just misses out.

Shaun Wright-Phillips deserves his place in the squad now with his performances for Man City imo. David Beckham has been an excellent servant and role model but it's time to move on.
He is still excellent with set pieces but then so is Gerrard (OK not as good but still very good).
He has played a good role as an experienced head but I think we will still have that without him.
Hargreaves, Ferdinand, Michael Owen etc have alot of experience.

Michel Owen has been on form in a dreadful Newcastle side at the moment so I think he deserves a place in the squad. He's an excellent option, proven goalscorer and has loads of experience.

Jermaine Defoe wasn't great against Andorra but the whole team was poor for most of the game and barely a chance was created for him that I can remember.
With Agbonlahor needed in the U21 team I think Defoe deserves his place in the squad because of his club form. I guess Capello might view him as quite similar to Owen though and call up Crouch.
    I could understand that.

Lescott isn't in the squad as I feel Woodgate is a better option.
Jenas and Bentley I haven't put in as Hargreaves if fit is a better option than Jenas imo. Although they are different types of players I really think we need a Hargreaves type in the squad.
I will add that Jenas was excellent coming off the bench against Croatia but I think he may just miss out or just sneak in. It will be close.
Bentley is competing with Beckham and Wright-Phillips for a squad place imo. So I guess it is just a preference and I'm going with Wright-Phillips as he is in the best form.

    So what do people think?

Kazakhstan hate the way they've been represented in the Borat movie so can you imagine the trouble that might kick off in the away game if loads of drunk English fans start doing borat impressions to the home support whilst wearing fake moustaches and mankinis!

    oh really?
Well if someone is the type of person who is willing to take a 15 hour flight and then go to the further trouble of dressing up in a fancy dress ,are they gonna be the type to want trouble?? im thinking NOT
unless hooligan firms have started dressing like borat.

The England womens team qualified for Euro 2009 with a 2-2 draw away against Spain.
    Well done to them :)

First, spell Kazakhstan properly. Secondly, it's essentially our under -21 team travelling to London, but we will still beat you. :)

This is how Kazakh players will score against England.
No 8 is a Kazakhstani forward, who played for Rotor in 90s, his goal kicked Man U out of the champions cup.
