And the only thing I hated about it is that the German press are all saying, "Kahn never gave up 5 goals!"

All true, but I think it is very unfair to Michael Rensing.

    how good was oezil ay?

and pizarro played out of his skin and so did rosenberg

it's funny that it was a bremen player that scored twice for bayern :) there was a nice moment between he and schaaf at the end

You're telling me, I have half the focking Bayern fans in in our forum saying Rensing sucks. I want to choke them to reality. :)

Kahn wasn't that great either in the last few years. The 5th goal was the only one that was Rensings fault but at that point it didn't matter anymore anyways.

Those people who blame Rensing for everything don't seem to realize that Werders finishing was close to perfect on Saturday.

Rensing sucks in any case, but that was established last season already.

Well I know the solution for Bayern. They will pull some more money out of their as# and pay for a huge Adler transfer fee.

I don't see that happening. Leverkusen has Adler under contract until 2012 and they don't need Bayern's money.

I'd see them turning toward Timo Hildebrand (contract in Valencia only through next season and has already been put out of the team) or Hannover's Robert Enke (also only under contract through next season)

Isn't it funny how quickly people are giving up on him? I guess they don't remember that even the sainted Kahn wasn't the "finished product" when he first took over at Bayern.

When Kahn left Karlsruhe he was at a completely different stage than Rensing.

I know that, but he wasn't "the finished product". Sepp Maier did that for him.

    Is that not true??

IMO there's just too much that lies between Kahn coming to Bayern in terms of experience and talent and Rensing's situation to make that comparison. The biggest difference is that Rensing hasn't been showing promise to become a great goalkeeper.

What comparison?? I only said Kahn wasn't the finished product when he moved to Bayern.

    I didn't make any comparison.

I know Kahn was a much better keeper than Rensing at this stage. That's exactly why I didn't make a comparison.

Kahn also had the advantage of having started at the Bundesliga level already too.

I said "Isn't it funny how people are giving up on Rensing" so quickly because this is his first full season at the BL level.

He still deserves a chance. I wouldn't be doing Rensing any justice by "comparing" him to Kahn at the same stage now, would I man?

I wasn't making any comparison. That was your assumption.

Even though it wasn't what I was talking about, you made great points.

lol. and nobody saw the transfer of Ribery coming. I swear, Munich just want the best there is and Hildebrand and Enke aren't it. The kid Adler is the real thing. Rensing is OK, but he needs a few years. Munich can't wait that long, they will get impatient as usual and splurge on a big named player. *cough*Luca Toni*cough*Ribery*cough*Jansen*cough*their entire fuc*ing team*

That was a nine goal thriller! Bremen were up 4-1 at one point and Hoffenheim came back to tie it at 4-4.

Oezil won it for Bremen with an 81st minute goal.

yup, i got a konferenz link working (posted by squig96 in the german football on tv 08/09 thread) and i saw the goals.

How do you do it on matchday? Do you watch dortmund on PPV and then watch konferenz or sportschau?

No. Directly after the matches, Premiere shows comprehensive highlights of every match.

Sometimes, I'll have Dortmund on the TV and the Konferenz on my computer.

But most days, I wait for the highlights directly after the matches.

Do the "comprehensive highlights" after the game happen on the same channel Konferenz was on?
