This season will mark the biggest waste of talent in MLS history.

What adjustments do you think DH will make at halftime?

Wow, most goals allowed in a game all season. I'm hoping Rofle and maybe even Mapp, something needs to change and fast. This season is going down the toliet.

For a while there on the matchtracker (espn) it didn't look too bad. There was offense, apparently. Who died and stopped that?
The ground we didn't lose on Saturday will be long gone if we don't score four. Four. Which is ridiculous.

"Waste" is being kind--the term "misused" would be more appropriate.

That's why I thnk S8 should make a statement by turning their backs for the 2nd half.

I flipped over to the Bears game - probably won't flip back to Fire until the OT is over. Damn bucs had to score and tie it up.

That was bad, but not as bad as the score suggested. The first 2 goals were down to horrific set piece defending (AGAIN!!!). After the 2nd goal, the fire defense just seemed to give up and gave up a third that never should've happened. The 4th goal was the same . . . just lazy defending. The team still had a chance to get back into this one down 3-0 (they were actually creating quite a few chances offensively), but the defense had given up.

Offensively, things actually went pretty well . . . Sala played a tremendous game. The only really bad player out there offensively was Offside . . . err, I mean Herron. He should not see the field any more this year. The offense wasn't connecting well, but even so, the Fire created a lot of scoring chances. Rolfe and Mapp improved things when they came on . . . I would expect 1 or both of them to start thursday. I was happy to see the team not give up offensively . . . unlike the defense, the offense got better and better as the game went on, despite Dallas falling back into more of a defensive posture.

Things Hamlett needs to get into his head:

    -DEFEND SET PIECES!
-don't let the defense give up if things aren't going well
    -keep Herron off the field

Nice to see McBride get a goal at the end. One last thing I realized today . . . I don't even dislike Dallas anymore. In the early days of the league, I couldn't stand them, but the Fire-Dallas rivalry has died.

Bullshit. Blanco actually played well. He can't keep Herron from staying offside.

Worst game I have ever seen the Fire play

This team gets worse every week: Hamlet has to take the blame for a team that doesn't improve from week to week, and appears unprepared to play.

Blanco taken out: Finally! But I am guessing that was to "protect him" not because he has looked like crap all year.

Andy Herron: needs to have a shock collar that goes off every time he is offsides.

Set pieces: we are the worst in the league.

Fans: Where are they? Great weather, and lots of empty seats. Not good.

Section 8: probably the weakest performance of the year. Seciton only 1/4 full by the time FCD is on the board.

Drunk idiots in my section: You are all dumb ********ing idiots who know nothing about soccer, so STFU.

Passing forward: They don't HAVE to be in the air

Busch: Worst game I have ever seen from Busch. Never took control of any situation where he could have.

This was the first Fire game I have attended where I actually wanted to leave at half time. The only reason I didn't was b/c I drove several people, but it was disgusting out there.

So sad to see this team taking such giant steps backward.

BTW, that was the WORST TEAM IN MLS that just kicked out ass.

I gave up at halftime. But some random thots:

I don't mind Herron being offside. Razov and Damani Ralph were offside a lot, too. And Ralph used to put his first 6 - 8 shots over the net. But they actually scored goals. Herron, not so much.

Blanco needs to find second gear. Maybe a game's rest? Or two? Or nine?

And does ANYONE know how to pass the ball?

Can My50 please stop using Columbia dropouts for the production team? Not that there was anything worth listening to.

Is McBride the new Chad Barrett? He shoots when he should pass and vice versa.

Does the Fire hold the record for most goals allowed in the first five minutes of games?

Can Hamlett just man up, quit the job, and let a bucket of warm piss take over?

2009 - the year the re-building begins! Can you feel it? Sorry, I just threw up a little. I think maybe I'll become a Chivas fan.

Its not their fault. they've always sucked. Blanco is the only one who is loosing his magic and it feels like were back in 07, b4 we had blanco.
he was awesome... last season. Thx to him fire came back and kicked some ass.
this year... nobody can be perfect every season plus mls players know how to piss him off and then he makes stupid or no decisions at all...
c mon he played for 67 minutes. give him some credit :p
    whats a set piece?
dude, im not suprized... fire can't play. THEY SUCK. i know i know win or lose, a real fan should support his team no matter what. but how can u support these guys when they play like crap. IF they played like dc last night.. id support em. but they had 11 guys on the pitch, not 10 and one injured, and still lost 4-0 oh wait 1.
futbol, football. whats the difference wen ur drunk.
    neeext....
how could he catch the ball (2nd min) when there were 20 guys in his personal space.

One of the worst games I have ever been to. Left early for the first time

It seems like the team is off a beat, so they are not coordinating with each other. And Blanco cannot run- you can't play soccer if you can't run.

Attendance was 16,900 something- McD section was full, and quite a few people were up top (probably nicer up there- it was hot)

Reup your season tickets, and you get a signed Blanco picture and a $50,00 Best Buy gift certificate- after today, they better make it a hundred
