1914 The U.S. Football Association (USFA) was granted full membership in FIFA, the world's governing soccer body. 1945 The USFA changed its name to U.S. Soccer Football Association (USSFA). 1974 The USSFA changed its name to the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).

Which continues to beg the question, what is the USFA Cup? The USFA does not exist, and hasn't since 1945. There is a competition called the US Open Cup, or to be more exact the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. I wonder if this is what he means, but we'll likely never know.
It still exists-just under a different name. Only NYR Metros can say for sure. I would imagine USOC is what is being meant: since the photos are from the US Open Cup Quarterfinal game - DC United at Wilmington Hammerheads.
OK, you are going to have to accept the possibility that I was being facetious at the time. It makes you sound less nerdy.
I'm not sure why everyone's so upset with the initial poster. He may have gotten the name of the tournament wrong, but I for one am happy he posted the pictures; they're way cool and they do show some of the passion which exists in this tournament, and I always love to see stuff like that. Well done.
I really do try, sometimes I fail though I hope there is some great passion Wednesday night, October 15, 8 pm at Giants Stadium !!!
Well it's another season for the Open Cup as 2004 is here. As the season develops, please post pics of passionate supporters of the Open Cup.
