    Group stage - 16 September 2008 20:45 (CET) - Weserstadion - Bremen

Here we go again! Another crazy European night at the Weser!!

Let's hope this season Bremen spare us the drama......then again Werder wouldn't be Werder if there wasn't any drama! :D

Bremen has to win this! Anorthosis was very weak in their CL qualifier away games.

Anorthosis is a team with many experienced players,
especially Dellas (Euro 2004 winner with Greece)
and Savio (2 CL titles with Real Madrid).

It will propably take patience to break their defense,
but a win is a must to reach something in the group.

They are not easy to play, but you simply HAVE to win this game!

Good luck for the 2nd half.

We are simply too stupid to win against bunker teams.
Cudos to Famagusta for their defensive fight.

Great start into the CL.

    btw:
I had a bad feeling when i heard Özil starting,
because we have no real offensive midfield substitute
options to him. That´s a defecit. An in-form striker
would be a nice thing, too.

It's just incredible how many opportunities we can miss. When you play against a team like Famagusta you need to score when you have the chance. We can't wait for a super shoot of Diego in every game.

Well, this is a real disappointment. If you don't pass this group, I'll stop being a Werder sympathisant. ;)

When you miss 4 big chances is not about the fitness. Today it wasn't his day. I'm a little concerned cause his best game was the first he played for Werder. Since then, his performance started to drop.

even chelsea fans said he didn't get enough chances. Its not that easy to adjust to the premiership level when you only play 5 games....I'm not being bias.

Allofs and Schaaf keep bashing the team, not only after this game but also after the one against Gladbach and in the second half of last season, for what they see as a lack of attitude or the right mindset to win the games.

Do you agree the team has an attitude problem?

Sure, they do and that´s also the fault of Schaaf and Allofs.

Players like Boenisch or Fritz, who underperform since months)
have save spots in the team. We have no real offensive midfield
option on the bench (when Özil is starting, which he deserves).
Ok, Hunt is one, but injured. So why don´t players from the reserve
get the chance to make pressure on players like Jensen, who need
somebody, who kicks him into their a**, to use their potential.
It´s all sh*t around Werder and the club management doesn´t seem
    to mention.

It´s like everyone laid back and enjoyed beeing the no.2 behind
Bayern in Germany, but hey. This success (and i really thank Schaaf,
Allofs, Born and the players for it) was made on hard and clever work
so people restart working to keep the club on track.
