I just don't see how anyone can say anything beyond the pictures on the Metro website.

1.) Joey is giving clint an atomic wedgie.
2.) Clint swings his arm back (maybe to give him a shot, maybe to shield the ball)
    3.) Joey Throws Clint down
4.) Joey Begins to pummel clint.

this seems like an open and shut case to me. I'm sure that the video shows it even clearer.

I can't believe the frigging Rev fans are treating Franchino like some kind of hero. It's sick. The revs are my new least favorite team.

The Revs haven't won in over two months. Nuff said...

  3. Franchino is a ***************. Time for him to get what he gives. If it ends his career, well . . . what goes around comes around.

If I'm Bob Bradley, I start Kenny Arena in the September 13th match and have him take out Franchino at the first opportunity. Let Nick pick up the fine.

In baseball, someone hits a batter, you know what's comin' the next inning. By the way, would Petke mind giving us back the "Revenge is Coming" t-shirt for this match?

  5. Won't matter. The USSF has a bug up it's ass about Clint and won't cut him any breaks. Franchino is guilty as a man ever was. Won't matter because it's open season on Clint and the USSF will back the shite ref. The video could prove it all but the USSF will back its shite refs. Clint will be out the next one and Franchino will get no additional punishment. The ref will get promoted. That's how it works at USSF House.

Now Now lads. I don't think returning violence for violence is what is in order here. Lets have the fans boo him off and Amado nutmeg him a few times.

The biggest revenge will be Joey starting his summer a few weeks early, because right now it looks like the revs are going to out suck columbus for the worst record in the east.

Agreed. Although honestly, I would've loved to see Clint comeback up and fight back, but he won't get a suspension and Franny will.

Ahh, the Metros season finale at Foxboro might be interesting afterall. Can't wait to go.

I don't know what's funnier, that New England hasn't won in two months or that after getting a dozen free shots in on Clint, Franchino didn't even leave a mark.

Here's the chant for September 13:

    Fran-Chiii-nooo Issss An Assss-Hole

We need organized booing and anti-joey chants the next time we play this a hole.

the funny thing here is that the brilliant Revs fans think Franchino is actually a tough guy or something. They even think Clint took some kind of beating. Truth is Franchino went after Clint while he was on the ground, and did absolutely no damage. Franchino's not even good at being classless. Still laughing at "Joey, it's as hot as Korea tonight,... oh wait." If you look at the pictures, you can see Clint laughing the whole time. I'd laugh at Franchino too. I think anyone would.

Did he actually say that? Because I thought somebody was just being funny when they posted that.

I also didn't see clint laughing from the pictures.

But it's all good and I wouldn't be suprised in the least.

And you were at the game to see why Clint gave him an elbow.....Franchino tackled Mathis had a fist full of his jersey. Mathis swung his elbow to get Franchino off of him. Not a smart play, but the onions you asked for a player to have.

Go back to tossing cow chips

Joey definitely overreacted in a way no soccer player should have. However, thanks to mlswrap, many of us have seen the video. After Clint knocks Joey in the head, Joey throws Mathis to the ground. He takes what might have been one punch to the back of Clint's head, which probably didn't really connect because Clint went into his fetal tuck. Joey then re-positioned himself to lay into Clint, at which time the ref and another player intervenes. Again, inexcuseable. Both players should have seen red.

However, since the video's out, and people besides the Metros have seen what's happened, all of your posts about all of the free shots Joey got in or the 10-12 times he punched Clint look a little ridiculous.

I'll go back to my own forum, but in return I'd appreciate it if you kept the Metros fans off of our boards...

(I'd really appreciate it if you could keep those idiots from Chicago off our boards, but that's probably asking too much...)

I didn't see a post where anyone says unibrow punched Clint 10 or 12 times. The fact is that even one punch was too many. This guy is a thug and showed it again.

If you check most of the Metros posts, we don't condone Clints actions when he is wrong, but in this circumstance his actions were in the run of play and Joey's were outside of it and well beyond acceptable.

Clint would have been gone with a yellow, as he couldn't keep his mouth shut in the first half, but his straight red was a joke.

Typical Revs/Patriots/Red Sox/Bruins/Celtics fans. They always look at the whole thing the wrong way, when their teams lose. They like to cheer or shout out at the wrong things. Especially when it's against New York & Metro.

Just like in 1999. They were happy that they beat Clemens in the playoffs when they should have been more concerned about the ALCS.

Here in the Quarterfinals of the USOC they would rather call Clint a wuss when Franchino tackled and attempted to punch him as the greatest thing in Revs history.

Once again Misguided little shmucks. They don't know anything.

If it wern't for Richie and later Ziadie, I'm pretty sure Clint would have goten his head punched in 10-12 times. I thik Clint should have agiteded franchino more as opposed to whining to the ref (probably too hard to just suck it up and shut up).

Not very good punching on franchino's part. I probably coundn't do better but know a few who can.

The incident happened right in front of me ... I ran right up to the fence and just let loose on Joey...the look on the security guards face was classic, he had no clue what to do when me and my buddies came running at him swearing our brains off. What pissed little Joey off was when he sat near the corner flag for the rest of match, me and my buddies walked over to the side of the stands and just let loose on him again....you could see it in his face that he wanted to give right back to me in the worst way....I'll give him credit for not flippin' out....as to what we called him , I probably wouldn't be able to post it on here, but it was something along the lines of his mother is prostitute , his mother was never married, and thing that go's with the F' word... it was classic as even the Rev fans next to us were speechless and the mexicans behind us gave us a standing ovation.....kind of reminds me of our cup match against Hampton Roads at Keane college when that midfielder stopped in his tracks and threatened us for talking garbage about his wife...... you just gotta love the Open Cup.

God help any United player that comes close to the stands on Oct. 1...I can't wait to open up on Olsen and Stewart...my buddy knows Dutch so he's gonna give Stewart and ear full.

I was there and remember that - it was hysterical. Wasn't he something like Jamaican, with blonde highlights in his hair? I've never seen a guy stop during a match like he did. Didn't Tab also answer back while he moved past the stands?
