Dear Revs fans, are you tired of wondering what Khano Smith is doing on the field? He loses the ball %90 of the time, is tall, but does nothing in the air. He doesn't seem to hustle much either, kind of reminds me of the late and not so great "Wolde Harris" How he kept his job for so long was always a mystery to me.
Does any one else wonder about how Smith keeps his job, or is it just me?

Khano is one of the few who's been consistently trying, and he's actually had MORE travel than most of these guys (with the Bermudan NT).

Khano is performing well this season, I don't see how you guys continue to bash him.

He is playing well this year???? Maybe I am just watching the wrong games I guess. He played like magic last night against the Crew! If he had another 90 minutes on the pitch perhaps we would have gotten one more shot!
May I also mention that Wells Thompson is our long lost replacement for Darren Sawatzky, he runs and runs but somehow we get nowhere!!!!

I think he is having his best season so far. Unfortunately, that's not really much to say.
He makes good plays now and then, and makes terrible plays more often. You never know what to expect when Khano has the ball at his feet. He could:
1.) Make a nice run and finish it with a good cross or shot. 2%
2.) Stumble all the way up the field in seconds and dribble into someone or out of bounds or a terrible shot/cross. 75%
3.) Lose the ball instantly. 23%

You never know what to expect. (except for one of the above.)

Another thing about Khano, he doesn't do much off the ball.

Good old nipple tape. Another thing about Twellman, he doesn't do much off the field.

He kicks the ball really hard.

Sometimes I really wonder about Khano. He usually runs to the corner and loses the ball. He is amazing at that. He is about as good as Cancella was at corner kicks.....

Like someone else said, I too agree he is having his best season. But that's not saying much. What can we do? Another stinker this weekend. This really blows.

he has to have some sort of blackmail on steve nicol, because otherwise i don't know how he even made this team, never mind started for a few.

He is decent off the bench in a game when you are behind, but other than that, i would reccomend we try and sell him to any USL team that comes along.

He's King Khano, Sharlie's #1 best friend. They listen to Young Weezer together on the plane rides.

I think he might have been saying that after 60 min. or so, Khano tends to get tired and his breathing is a little wheezy.

I love Khano... the entire entertainment portion of my ticket belongs to him. Every time he gets the ball we all hold our breath and wonder... what is he going to do.... is he going to shoot from mid field, is he going to dribble it out of bounds, is he going to blow by a defender then trip over the ball... and then once in a while the stars alighn and he does something spectacular... all great stuff.

Seriously though, I think he has some exceptional skills... but I don't think he knows how to string them together. I don't think he is a natural soccer player. He has good individual skills, but kind of chokes when it comes to piecing them together.... but he is very entertaining..:D

Since we've had precious few goals lately - and Smith has set up the last two - maybe we should look elsewhere for scapegoats (if we must).

It's September and Khano is due for his monthly good play. With the two he owes us from August and July, we can look forward to two good kicks, and one spectacular run down the left side. Maybe.

    Are these things cumulative?

Really, of all the problems this team may or may not have right now, Khano Smith is no where near the top of the list.

yeah... i wouldn't have started a thread about khano first... there are at least 2 others i'd be pissed off at before him...

if only he could be more consistent with brilliant moves... tho i stopped counting how often he gets the ball and subsequently loses it. it was making me angry... better to just ignore it. :)

I second Ed. I'm not a Khano fan but he's been playing pretty well lately. I mean he still sucks, but he's only one of the suckiest sucks who ever sucked, among many right now. :(

Khano is serviceable at left mid.

He is totally useless at forward.

While I basically agree he's not accomplishing anything at forward, Twellman looks almost equally useless at forward in the last two. The problem isn't with the individuals, it's about the "team play" that isn't happening.
