    That's three cup ties in a row we've had Brechin. Last season's Scottish, the Challenge cup on Saturday and now this.

    Raith Rovers 0

    Raith win 4-3 on pens. CB Ian Davidson was sent off in the 78th min but Raith put out 3rd div Albion on pens.


    Alloa 2
    (Scott 71, Kelly 78)

    Elgin 0

    Two late strikes won it for Alloa. 19yr old Francis Kelly scored his first senior goal for the club.


    Clyde 4
    (MacLennan 15, Gibson 63, McSwegan 86, 88)

    Queens Park 1
    (Harkins 82)

    veteran striker Gary McSwegan bagged a late brace to see off the challenge of div2 Queens Park.


    Dumbarton 1
    (Logan 115)

    Annan Athletic 1
    (Jack 103pen)

    Dumbarton win 5-4 on pens. after scoring twice at the weekend in their impressive SFL debut, Mike Jack gave Annan the lead from the spot but Ray Logan's first goal for Dumbarton sent the match to pens and they won through.

    Cowdenbeath 2
    (McGregor 6, Fairbairn 81)

    Brian Fairbairn scored his first goal for Cowdenbeath to make the tie safe in the 81st min.


    Partick Thistle 4
    (McKeown 39, Gray 70, 97, Chaplain 112)

    Forfar 3
    (Fotheringham 13, Lilley 65, Smith 103)

    Firhill for thrills right enough as the match went to extra time after ending 2-2. Scott Chaplain netted the all important winner.


    Peterhead 0

    Dunfermline 2
    (Phinn 46, Kirk 50)

    two quick goals after HT won it for the Pars with Andy Kirk scoring his first goal since returning to Scotland.


    Ross County 2
    (Daal 43, Hart 76)

    Airdrie Utd 3
    (Di Giacomo 23, 112, Noble 86)

    Stuart Noble got the all important equaliser and his striker partner, Di Giacomo, carried on his fine form since arriving from Killie with a double.


    Stenhousemuir 1
    (Love 12)

    St Johnstone 5
    (Sheerin 23pen, Milne 78, Holmes 79, 83, Hardie 88)

    A close match until Stennie capitulated in the final 15mins and shipped 4 goals.


    Stranraer 3
    (Frizzel 37, McColm 72, Gibson 84)

    Morton 6
    (McGuffie 5, Wake 12, Russell 23, 32, Paartalu 40, Wake 85)

    Morton had this one sown up by HT by firing in 5 with only 1 in reply. a double for Russel breaks his duck for the season.

    Stirling Albion 2
    (Graham 5, Harty 63)

    Stirling led twice but couldn't advance as CB Jamie Bishop scored the winner with 10mins to go to send the team from the North East through.


    Ayr 2
    (Aitken 40, Williams 45)

    Berwick 1
    (Greenhill 12)

    Two quick fire goals before HT, including Chris Aitken's first for his new club, sent Ayr into the second round.


    East Fife 0

    Brechin 3
    (Twigg 44, White 65, Ward 74)

    Gordon may want to talk about this in more detail although then again...


    East Stirling 1
    (Graham 90)

    Livingston 2
    (Fox 80, Smith 113)

    Brian Grahams first goal for his new club at the end of normal time sent this tie into an extra 30mins but 17yr old Gordon Smiths first senior goal earned Livingston the victory.

    i'd imagine us v Livingston will be on the season ticket. hopefully we won't have a Velicka-esque performance from any Livi striker that would see us spiraling out of another cup competition from a home defeat ala last season.
