I would rather see Fergie start Possebon with Scholes. Pompey's midfield was non-existent in both the Nigeria and Shield matches and evidently they didn't show up against Chelsea either.

wonder if Anderson makes the bench for this game? doubt Fergie would want to rush him back though.

Hargreaves wouldn't be a bad choice... hopefully he gets his knee sorted out soon. we could use him on some free kicks.

    Nani back after this one?

If Anderson is back then we can go with a 4-3-3 type line up ...but if not we are kinda ********kked ..DOOM :D

i see a 4-4-2 with fletcher in the middle with scholes and rafael on the wing and the rest of the lineup is abvious

Possebon won't start this match, that's for sure. And I'd rather have it this way. Portsmouth are one of the most physical teams and they impose themselves on United every time they play - it will not be any different this time. As calm and composed Possebon might be, he will most likely struggle with the physical aspect of this match. It would also be a very risky move, and one I'd not rather see. He could easily get eaten up by the Pompey midfield and that would automatically cut down half of our supply in midfield and it would leave Scholes by himself. We know what the consequences of that can be.

Rest assured, Ferguson will go with the obvious. I think he'll also go with Fletcher in the middle because of O'Shea lack of pace.

So Nani did his headbutt in the penultimate game of the season, he's missed 2 matches does this mean he is eligible or is it 3 game ban he recieved?

Then who plays on the right?

Yeah, Fergie going with the obvious would mean Fletcher playing on the right. With Tevez and Rooney both available, we might see Giggs in the centre though that might mean the midfield would be a bit lightweight.
