Hi Valencia fans I'd just like to ask some questions regarding Manuel Fernandes:

    1. Has there been any news about his future? Is he coming to Everton?

    2. Is he still part owned by another company.

    3. Would you like to see him stay and be given a chance?

Anyway, I would appreciate some answers. :)

    1. we paid way over the odds for an unproven player
    2. he would do well in the prem as its less skillfull than la liga, and more about running around alot
    3. wouldnt be suprised if he went to everton, moyes obviously sees something in him that noone else does
    4. i would like to see him stay due to the moeny we spnt on him, or if he does leave i hope we get a decent price, not the stupid money touted in the english press. much like villa's supposed £12mill fee lololol

6 million is the reported price at the moment. Would you be happy with that? I can't see Moyes paying anything over 8 million.

Manuel Fernandes couldnt be more of a waste of time. Why is it that every season he gives two clubs a headache about his future. Just FLIPPIN sign a permanent deal with Everton!!!!

6 million is way below what i would want for him, but as he doesnt play for a premiership team we cant demand a stupid price for him. for example if he was a benchwarmer at manyoo you would probably have to pay something in the region of £13 million. but as we work on the continental pricing we wont get anywhere near that.

I'd have to agree but I don't think its his fault. Its his owners who are stopping him from reaching his potential and finding a club to develop at. The 12 million price tag is ridiculous. He's talented but he's far from the finished article. 6-8 million would have been a fair price.

He needs to get rid of them. Hopefully we'll sign him and he can settle down.

If thats the case then we shouldn't have any problems taking him off your hands.

I was more talking about his time before Valencia. His owners have moved him from club to club.

He had a future with us but Ronald Koeman just ripped his dreams so he had to leave. I think he is more settled at Everton and should just stay there. Unai Emery will have a say in his future, whether or not he is in the teams plans. If not then the go ahead will be given to him and Everton will have to meet the price (which wouldnt be too high).

What problems did he have with Koeman? I've heard they wheren't too friendly at Benfica aswell. Koeman seems to have a habit of arguing with footballers.

The local radio is stating where signing Fernandes for 6 million on a two year deal. Hopefully its true but It could just be speculation.

Koeman and Fernandes had a complicated relationship which is more complicated for me to get my head around, but we just know they had alot of disputes:rolleyes:.

As for Koeman himself. He likes to lay down his orders and expects people to follow despite the fact that he has lost every game he has been involved in with the club. With the games Valencia were loosing i dont blame the players for falling out with Koeman at all.

So whats the news with Manny? Is he staying at Valencia or is he making his way to Everton? I've read that he is currently in Valencia...

Anyways, Koeman and him had many problems. Especially at Benfica, and I can imagine they were only compounded in Valencia.

Manny is staying this season at Valencia, he said in a recent interview the coach has given him a chance and he will show his worth.

Yeah it was mentioned today in the Portuguese media. I think this is a good decision for both club and himself. He is a wonderful player with much talent.

He came on today for about 40 minutes in Portugal friendly, he played well. His passing, and ball control were once again sublime, however, his defensive lapses still remain...

I agree, its good for Valencia, i was upset to see him leave for Everton last season but what can you expect when Koeman takes over. The thing i enjoy most about fernandes is his power, i remember last season he was battling for the ball against 4 Athletic Bilbao players and shrugged off their challenges whilst skilling them up. It really opened my eyes to what he is capable of.... not to mention how hard he can kick a ball.

In terms of ability only Ronaldo has greater talent than this guy
he is the best passer of the ball i have ever seen, i know this
is a big call but his passing is just so crisp and if you watch the direction he always passes into space so his teamamte is already on the front foot.
An absolute magician, but lets be honest here, his attitude is terrible and seems disinterested in most games and only turns up to the big games
which is good in terms of knowing his big game pedigree but we all know
you win championships with consistency not potential ability!!!!

I hope this guy comes good he would be a joy to watch at full potential!!!

Agree on the passing bit. His passing, both on the floor and in the air is precise and ridiculously creative. His ball control and strength are also outstanding, and his shot is one of the best I have ever witness from Portugal. These are some of the reason why I think he would be a good replacement for Deco in the future. At Everton, he played the CM, and played it well when he did actually play...

I have saudades for him, I wish he was still at Benfica.

He has all the tools to be a top top midifelder. Strength, passing ability, skill and good technique. He needs to work on his defensive game and up his work rate but that will come with time.

He's not the next Makelele, he's much more than that. He has too much natural ability to be play such a limited role. I'd say he's more of a deep lying play maker myself.

I wish him well, one of my favorite players. We missed out big time by not signing him. He looked good against Mallorca recently.
