Were I the one with the leave behind atmosphere items (which Im not so props to those of you who are) I would sew RFID chips into them. Certainly, a new megabandera should be hemmed with tracking devices. Not that I said anything....

    How would that help?

RFID is just a piece of tiny foil that disrupts the magnetic field around those little sensors on the doors of stores. Or when you wave a sensor near it, it's not like a it broadcast it's signal. :D

No, but the options are not exclusive to lost or stolen. It could have simply been thrown away. There was a lot of construction in TP this off-season and the banner could have simply been discarded on accident by a Fire personnel or one of the construction workers.

This was news to me today Fire supporters. Don't lose your passion for your team. Hopefully the FO and the supporters can reach a reasonable solution quickly.

In any event, I am stuck at home today and felt like photoshopping after I heard Blanco's garbage comment (although, it seems no one is really sure what was said and what the translation was).

    Just for fun!

    /Racism of any kind sucks!
//Security people are low wage thugs
///Definitely was wrong of the FO to waffle on whether a section is General Admission or not.

Out of curiosity have any other Latino fans complained about being mistreated at Toyota Park?

    Alright alright have yer yuks.

    Super sting-
There is power in numbers. They messed with Latinos who were organized. Hopefully they won't mess with anybody based on race in the entire stadium ever again.

Is that a yes or a no? Hopefully security won't mess with anyone based on anything.

I'd be fine if they were messing with terrorists based on said terrorists wanting to take our freedom.. MS could take 'em on Jack Bauer style.. but as that's never gonna happen.. they really should just stand around and only intervene when it's absolutely necessary. That's what I did when I was a security guard at a chicago-area sporting venue.. just stood around watching the game. I can't for the life of me figure out why they'd even want to shout anything.. it's too much effort and you get paid either way.

Well, if people didn't feel safe before, I'm sure they do now.

I know I do. I'm not sure if people realize it or not, but we won. The unprovoked and unwarranted harrassment/racial/verbal/physical abuse is not gonna happen again from MS, not with all the eyes and cameras/camcorders on them. Not witht he press waiting, just waiting for another incident to report.

We won when we planned to publicly demonstrate and the Trib talked about it in the Metro Section of the print edition. The flags, banners, etc will be allowed to return. Cut your hair (or grow it out, skinheads) and get a job. The war's pretty much over, folks.

I was speaking specifically about the events where the above young person provided security by admittedly doing absolutely nothing. That's gotta make you feel good. And give us all hope for the future.

well at both the places i worked rule #1 was that you're weren't allowed to touch anyone ever. if something happens, we were to call uniformed police (they were in the facility). we we're mostly there to be there, and to act as a witness for the actual police.

the only thing we did was crowd control if someone was got sick/injured and had to be rushed out.. stuff like that.

I don't know anything about monterrey though, I was employed by the actual venues.

but yeah.. most days i didn't do too much..... and i never even racially abused anyone.

Sorry, I thought you had sensed the same thing that I did, that MS would act only when absolutely necessary, and not intimidate/escalate the situation, which makes things dangerous for everyone. In any event, my assessment still stands. We won. MS had its balls cut off. Everyone is actually much safer now.

We were approached by Houston supporters because of our problems and it ended up as an editorial for here:

    Their story is unfortunately similar.

How did security even get near the supporters?

I am gald to hear that the Fire FO is listening to the issues and overzealous security is being handled.

It seems as though most of these FO's in MLS needed to learn that soccer/football fans are not like gridiron/baseball/basketball/hockey fans. We are all of a different ilk and should be dealt with in a different manner than those other sports fans.

It's the usual story. CSC hires some 10 dollar an hour goons who haven't got the memo or are properly trained. They have no idea our sections are general admission and then they cop an attitude. Add some booze and Barra members that aren't used to getting hassled and you have trouble. We're working to snuff it out before it fires up again.
